Great property to enjoy the country side of Parma. Nice Italian breakfast and very friendly manager who is happy to help you. During day time, you can easily reach the property from Parma using a public bus, at night you can grab a taxi (which however are not particularly cheap in Italy) so having a rental might be very useful. The town where the property is found is very small but you still have a few high quality restaurants and a couple of very nice bars (we had a spectacular aperitivo!)

Property is not as isolated as we thought as it's on a main road - having said that, it is not particularly noisy as it's surrounded by fields and a large garden but you can hear the cars from the garden during the day

Corte Finzi is an absolutely beautiful, immaculately clean and well maintained B&B housed in a lovingly restored/renovated stone building with a stunning mixture of modern and rustic finishes. The owner is friendly, attentive, quick to respond, and a very helpful source of information about the area. The breakfast buffet was delicious - fresh fruits, toast, pastries, cereal and meats and cheeses, coffee and tea. Each morning we ate on a covered stone patio overlooking the vinyard and gardens - so incredibly beautiful and relaxing. The property is safe and quiet, and the location is an ideal base for exploring numerous areas in Northern Italy. In addition to exploring Sala Baganza and Collecchio, we visited the Cinque Terra villages on the coast, hiked in the mountains, toured a wonderfully preserved/restored medieval castle, spent an afternoon exploring Parma, and visited the Ferrari facility in Maranelo. Many lovely restaurants are within a few minutes walk or short drive, as are shops for any groceries or other necessities. We stayed there while our daughter played in a softball tournament in nearby Collecchio, and we were so glad we chose to stay at Corte Finzi in Sala Baganza instead of one of the large featureless commercial hotels in Collecchio. The price is very reasonable given the quality of the accommodations. We comfortably stayed there for 6 nights and could have happily stayed longer.

Unique property that was a former stable in the family since 1917. Frederico has upgraded this facility to a high standard with an eye to design. He was quick to respond to any queries or requests and gave us wonderful restaurant suggestions. Offered a private tour to a smaller producer of parmesan cheese that was excellent. We appreciated his helpful suggestions on driving routes. Good wifi, bathroom products and linens. An excellent stay of three nights and can recommend.

The bed for our aging bones was too firm. Frederico supplied an extra layer for some cushioning which helped. This could be a personal taste as many guests have commented on how great the beds are. The pillows were wonderful.

Location is very convenient for visiting the Parma area, I used it as a base to visit Parma, Modena and Bologna. The bed was very comfortable and the property is far enough from the road that even with my windows open it was very quiet. The village has several ristorante/pizzeria options. I especially liked Trattoria il Fiore antica osteria, had a nice menu of traditional regional dishes well made and at reasonable prices. Federico was very accommodating and gave great recommendations about parking in Parma and Bologna.

If I had to state a negative to the Corte Finzi, it would be the room size was a bit small. No space even for a small sitting desk or a wardrobe cabinet.

Tucked away on a street near Parma, we felt transported to a beautiful vineyard far removed from people and alone with nature. Every last detail of our stay was carefully thought out for maximum quality. Federico did his best to make sure that we had everything we needed, knew where to go (even down to parking!), and he also gave us a beautiful presentation on the property and related family history. I was very moved by my stay here. I highly recommend you book here.

I wish there were rules that kept other travelers from smoking close to the building. We were trying to enjoy the sunset on the balcony, and some fellow guests took it upon themselves to smoke - and send the smoke our way. Smoking culture is an unfortunate reality in Europe, but this property does such a great job with all-natural, organic elements that I feel like it wouldn't be a far cry to more strictly regulate this dirty habit.

Wonderful experience after 4 nights in Federico’s House. He knows his region and have great tips and recommandations. The cooking class and parmigiano reggiano tour were really timeless moments. If we go back in Parma, we will surely go here again.

Extremely friendly staff greeted us and prepared an amazing cheese platter with their fantastic wine. He also gave us great advice on where we should go next. Pointed us to local cuisine, which was one of our best meals in itsly.

Nothing at all

Dreaming place, wonderful environment, kindness, wonderful mattress and pillows, cleaness...! This place is a paradise in earth and the hostess Beatrice and Frederick are exceptional! With their large smile make us feel like our home. For these and for many other reason Corte Finzi is highly recommended!!!

The picture and description of the room we were given was not even close to reality. No place to put luggage, no place to sit in the room other than the bed.

Federico and his mother are really great hosts. Super nice and helpful in any way! The place is absolutely wonderful and perfect for a stay around Parma. Breakfast is high quality and in case you want eggs, Federico will make some for you. We definitely loved it and recommend.
