Hotel Rivage Taormina

Hotel Rivage is a truly lovely little gem offering excellent value for money.. Located on a quiet street opposite a super beach, with a beach bar and restaurant owned by the hotel, this is perfectly located for a beach focused holiday. And yet not far is the beautiful bustling town of Taormina to explore. The staff truly understand customer service (special thanks to Tina and Enrico) and could not have been more helpful.

The only disappointment was the food but we had booked the half board option and therefore only saw the table d'hote. Sadly that could have read "half bored", especially for any vegetarians. However, to be fair to the management this option was inexpensive. Perhaps the cost ought to be increased a little and more imaginative menu options offered?

we had a beautiful ocean view room with a large balcony. The room itself was comfortable although a bit tight with 2 large suitcases and a couple of carry on totes. the location is perfect: close to the water with privileges at the beach club across the street. it’s a quiet location but easy walking distance to the restaurants of both Mazzeo and Letojanni.

Having to cool the room down every time we returned to it: it requires the key to access electricity for lights and AC. They only issue 1 key unless you ask for a 2nd.

A new, small(ish) hotel right at the beach. It’s very clean and modern. Breakfast is amazing! they offer sweets, vegetables, fruit, bacon and eggs, cereal, nuts.. anything you think of. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and offer everything you would need. The best thing about the hotel is, however, the friendly staff. They were super friendly and caring, yet very professional. Special thanks to Francesco, the lovely waiter, who made sure my beer is always cold and my espresso always hot, and always made us smile.

The beach bar (which is a part of the hotel) could use some improvement in organization. There seemed to be chaos sometimes with a lot of people waiting in lines. Also, you need to pay extra money to have a sunbed with umrella even though you are a hotel guest (5€ per person). It’s not too expensive but you would expect the beach to be included in the price already paid for the hotel. Also, you need to keep buying water because the tap water is not for drinking - which adds up to a lot of money.

My stay at the hotel was wonderful. The hotel staff is friendly. An excellent, big and clean room. A 3-minute walk is a paid beach, for those who book through Booking the cost is 8 euros per person (sunbed and umbrella). You can also rent towels separately. The beautiful beach also deserves special praise (clear transparent sea, sand with pebbles).

Breakfast is the same every day, very poor. There were no greens and a small variety of cheeses. The scrambler was almost always cold...

Location was superb. A beautiful beach and several excellent restaurants were across the street. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed by the management with a delicious beverage to cool offer. Breakfast by the pool - which was surrounded by lemon trees - was enchanting. We loved having a delicious daily breakfast included with our stay so that we spend more time exploring the area.

Loved the location directly across the beach. They have a beautiful pool steps away from the lobby that was very clean. Felt very Welcoming the minute you step through the front door. Staff is incredibly nice. There is plenty of street parking for free - and the staff help us with our day excursions.

nothing - even the older elevator they joking say you will arrive at the next floor by Christmas ( true its slow but there is a huge staircase) only three floors.

I mean where do I even start. The staff are truly exceptional. The kindest people I've met! Always willing and accommodating and sooo friendly. Fabrizio and his team went above and beyond for us, whether helping with direction and the room to being very caring and supportive. The hotel was also gorgeous loved the location. Right across from the beach, good restaurants nearby. Lovely people.

It was great. The hotel really made this holidays great, lemon trees, swimming pools,by the sea, very helpful staff, clean and modern design, the best food in this area,quiet but 15 mins by bus to busy Taormina.

Water in swimming pool could be warmer but we went in May so I guess no need for this in summer months

Nice room with sea view. Very friendly personnel who are very helpful. Everything was very comfortable.

A bit pricey considering location and size of the pool, which we of course knew upfront when booking near Taormina for high season. So maybe beach access could be offered for free considering this…

The hotel is newly renovated and it’s close to the beach. The staff is amazing, very helpful trough the entire stay. The breakfast is very good, many options available daily and the fact that you can have it on the terrace, next to the swimming pool and lemon trees is amazing. The room is very clean and brand new. I’m looking forward to come back. It was the best we could get for a perfect birthday getaway. Many thanks!
