The Royal Park Hotel Hiroshima Riverside

The staff were excellent and very helpful. We were able to access the room earlier than the 3:00PM check in time, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel is very quiet and the room appointment very good. The location was a short walk from the Hiroshima JR Station, which made accessing the shinkansen easy. The hotel was also within walking distance of some of the key Hiroshima attractions. The breakfast buffet was very nice with plenty of selections, including standard Western fare as well as traditional Japanese/Asian options.

The only minor gripe was the very small gap between the beds, but this is standard fare for Japanese hotels.

Good location on the riverside. About a 10 to 15 minute walk from the station via the south exit and exit 8. The staff were very helpful organising a Takubin service for us. The room was typically small but very comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel has a THE monogram on display on the high point of the wall facing the river.

Nothing really. I would have liked their restaurant to stay open a little longer than closing at 6pm.

Excellent cleanliness and service to live up to the Royal Park hotels brand. Our room had a good view of the nearby river and we could watch the sunrise from the room itself. We stayed at five similarly priced hotels in Japan during our trip and this was the only one which still provided complimentary mineral water when we first arrived in the room. We only stayed one night, so no idea if water is still provided after the first day.

Room was laid out for business rather than vacation guests. There was no good space to place a second luggage and we were consistently getting in each other's way when we had both of our bags open. While reasonably close to Hiroshima station, walking to the hotel from the station involves crossing several streets and is not the most direct route.

Really good all around.a bit of a walk to train service . Would be nice to have a service van to drop clients to train station and museum and peace park . For all that we really came to see .this is our second time here our children were only two and seven last time we came. And here we are twelve years later so our daughter could really see what we were showing her on how cruel the world that we share can be . And how life can be taken away so quickly at the hand of man .

The pizza place at hotel was finished by 6.00 pm Half the time we were due back after a day out no food supply in hotel . Maybe think about trying room service on just a few things on the menu (toasted sandwiches) hot chips . Pizza burger .

Great room and bathroom - modern, very clean and stylish. Loved the riverside view from bedroom. Location is great - walking distance (10-15mins) from Hiroshima station. Front desk staff were so warm and helpful - I was served by a lady who was Amazing. Sadly I didn't get her name, but she went above and beyond helping me and my friend to organise luggage transfer (delivery service) to another hotel, and then checking to see if our rooms were ready so we could check-in early rather than wait few hours. I would definitely come back to stay at this hotel again.

Fantastic stay. The room was spacious by Japanese standards, especially the bathroom! The view out of our room was so beautiful with the river and the bridge…we were able to shoot some of the most amazing time lapse videos out of all the ones we did on our month long trip across Japan. Due to a health problem we needed to see a doctor. I am very thankful for the courteous and kind staff who helped us get an appointment as well as arranging a taxi for us. We will definitely come back when we visit Hiroshima again!

Super fast check-in and out Friendly staff Comfy bed and pillows Complementary water bottles Lovely view. Could have seen the sunrise if we had gotten up early enough The sun-blocking shade fit so well that it let nothing through. It felt like the middle of the night until we lifted the blind.

Could have used a closet or shelf to put clothes. (This isnt in the original price, so its not so important) Breakfast was pricey for food that was just okay, but I suppose that is to he expected with buffets (though the lemon butter was great)

Amazing modern Hotel with a very clean and comfortable room. It has everything you need. The nice view over the river is a plus, too. The breakfast buffet is delicious and nicely prepared. Breakfast takes place from 7 to 10am. We could even eat outside next to the river. The staff was always super friendly, respectful and speaks very good English. When we asked if it is possible to unlock our window in our room to get some fresh air, the receptionist reacted friendly. We only had to sign an agreement for security reason. The hotel's location was perfect for us, everything (sightseeing spots, restaurants, café, train station is reachable by foot (5-15min.). Thank you to all of the Royal Park Hotel team for this comfortable stay. We would come again!

We loved the hotel and the location, it was really easy to get around and find great food. The proximity to all the major attractions made the trip super convenient. We even walked from the station to the hotel with our luggage and it was really easy. We had breakfast included on our stay and it was great breakfast with a great patio right by the water.

We happened to be in Hiroshima during the G20 summit, so it could have been the reason the cost for the hotel was a bit high. It was the most expense we'd spent on a hotel in all the cities we'd visited in Japan which was unexpected though that was the only downside.

We had a view of the river, lovely at night with the lights. A 10 minute easy walk to the train station. The room was super clean, nicely decorated, very very comfortable. A Family Mart just along the street. The reception staff were exceedingly friendly, always a welcome, every time we returned. Of all the hotels we stayed at over two months, this one was at the top.

Could do with a coin laundry in the hotel. The Peace Park is quite a walk but plenty of taxis everywhere and not expensive.
