Ideal location, friendly and helpful staff, large rooms

Was slightly noisy from the carpark outside our window at night but wasnt an issue, everything else was great

The property lived up to all the photos. Beautiful shared spaces, modern and comfortable rooms, lovely staff and awesome breakfast. Everything was kept simple but stylish. Loved our stay as family of five.

Nothing not to like!

Room The room had a modern interior and was spacious enough for the two of us (considering Japanese standard room sizes), however it might get tricky if you travel with oversized luggage (we had two "normal-sized" suitcases). We very much liked the spacious shower. Also the fridge in the room was quite handy (the fridge was very silent during the night). Since some people deem it very important (we do not): note that the room is not cleaned every day. Bed The beds were comfy and broad, however the pillows were a bit too hard for our needs. Location The hotel was located in a quite side street of a bustling shopping/restaurant area. Also, all the major sightseeing spots were good to reach. Although we had a room on 6th floor, we could still hear sometimes noises/ laughing people from outside during the night. From other rooms you couldn't hear anything, so overall it was ok. Amenities There were some in the lobby and you could take them if you needed it. We liked that system since it reduces waste. However, if you're one of those people who are keen on loads of amenities, this might not be your hotel to choose. There is also a coin washing machine and a dryer available, which was great for us. In addition, there is a common room kitchen, a bar and a coffee shop in the hotel. We didn't use them, so we can't rate it. Hotel staff Hotel staff was very kind and friendly.

Unfortunately, we were not a fan of the washbasin. It was located in the room (so outside the bathroom), therefore you had to leave the toilet without washing your hands. Also, we struggled with water drain. There was a plug in the basin and it didn't stay in a lifted position to let the water drain. So we had to always lift it by hand. This was weird and a bit nasty since you have to grasp into the dirty water after you have just washed your hands.

Lovely hotel design and calm feeling inside despite being located in a vibrant area of Hiroshima. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast (crepes, sweet or savoury) accompanied with beautifully presented soup, granola, salad, and juice / tea / coffee was delicious. The crepe menu changed daily, so you could enjoy variety. The staff prepare your crepe for you upon arrival to breakfast too so they are fresh and hot. There is a shared kitchen for use too which looked nice (we didn't use it). The location is a longer walk from the train station, but is close to restaurants, shopping and the Peace Park area.

Room was very tidy, but not as modern as other Share Hotels we had stayed in.

Breakfast was lovely..but the same pancake everyday ( but super fresh served by really lovely staff). The dining area was great, guests used it socialise in the evenings. There was an excellent kitchen area to prepare your own food plus laundry area. The rooms were very specious, we stayed in Japanese style quadruple room with tatami area. It had what looked like a closet , but was infact locked, so took up space in the room without the benefit of the guest using it ( we stayed in a Share Hotel in Kanazawa which had the same, but was for guest use to hang clothes which was excellent). The bathroom products were to die for....sublime! Please have it for sale at reception please!!!!! Location was EXCELLENT. The small restaurant next door is fantastic!

Totally didn't like SELF checking in ( self checking in even though a receptionist is standing right there!). You have to input loads of personal details ( passport numbers, where you have come from, where you are going to?) which you can do without after the journey of getting there. Self Checking in for breakfast is EVEN more tedious as you have to in put your details for each day you have breakfast with QR codes blah blah.....why? there are reception staff standing there? It would be less stressful/annoying for guests...and again the this was not how it was in the Share Hotel In Kanazawa where the reception desk worked as it should. That bit was too cool..not.!

My recent stay at KIRO Hiroshima was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped into the hotel's elegant lobby, I was struck by its impeccable cleanliness, modern décor, and welcoming atmosphere. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Upon entering my room, I was pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of sightseeing. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a luxurious bathtub that was perfect for unwinding after a long day. The hotel's location was another major plus point. It was situated within walking distance of Hiroshima's most iconic landmarks, including the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the Hiroshima Museum of Art. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city at my own pace, without having to worry about transportation. The hotel's proximity to major sights was complemented by its general walkability. The surrounding area was vibrant and lively, with a plethora of restaurants, shops, and cafes to choose from. I enjoyed strolling through the streets, immersing myself in the city's unique atmosphere. In addition to its spacious accommodations, prime location, and walkable surroundings, KIRO Hiroshima also offered a variety of amenities that enhanced my stay. The "Poolside" bar was an ideal spot to unwind with a drink in the evening. Overall, my stay at KIRO Hiroshima was nothing short of exceptional. The spacious rooms, bathrooms, and convenient location made it an ideal base for exploring Hiroshima.

Honestly it's hard to think of any negatives. The lift was a bit slow at times but that is to be expected during peak periods and the stairs were easily accessible.

Loved our stay at KIRO Hiroshima. We spent 1 night in a Moderate Loft - great room with comfortable beds. Kids especially liked the bunks. Staff were kind and helpful on arrival and stored our bags as we arrived early. The hotel is only a 15 minute walk to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. The area around the hotel has many cool vintage clothing shops and record stores. Great dining options nearby including the amazing Okonomimura Village serving beautiful Okonomiyaki. Would definitely stay again.

KIRO Hotel is in a great location in a lovely neighbourhood making it easy to get around and plenty of cool shops and cafes close by. The hotel is a beautiful old building that’s been modernised and we particularly loved the poolside lounge. A lovely room which once had an inside pool but is now filled with plants and natural light. We enjoyed the card games on offer to play while we had a lovely cocktail. The coffee shop in lobby is fab and the coffee was excellent.

Beds were a little hard and only 1 pillow. Didn’t clean the room during our stay although fresh towels were left for us at the door.

Our room (3 beds including a bunk) was great — the bathroom was so luxurious and pajamas supplied were so nice. We loved the tea and the shampoo and conditioner was also luxurious! The whole building had a great feel and the staff were outstanding. The coffee shop also serves up great coffee!

We tried to head up to the Pool Side Bar (opening hours 7-11pm) around 10:20am on our first night and they were already closed. We asked the staff member about breakfast for the next day and she said it had to be reserved at reception the day prior so unfortunately had missed out.

Excellent location. Easy walking distance to many tourist areas in Hiroshima. The room was compact but utilised space very well. Clothes washing facilities were convenient and easily used. The coffee shop on the street level was excellent.

Some carpeted areas in common spaces were worn and should probably be replaced to match the rest of the excellent facilities. Reception used an automated check-in machine even though staff were present. We still needed the staff's assistance with this. Ditch the machine. It is nice to talk to people.
