Rose Hotel Yokohama

Easy access to public transportation - we arrived by train from the airport. The hotel was just about 2 small blocks walking distance to the nearest train station. It was near to a lot of attractions: a seafront park, shopping malls and restaurants. The staff cleaned our room everyday without being asked.

The hotel can use some interior decor updating, which as they are currently, I would describe / characterize as “retro”. The exterior facade from the street looks decent and quite modern but the interior decor of rooms and corridors do not seem to match the exterior. The bedside console controls looked as though they were still from the 1980’s albeit still functional.

it’s a bit old. we stayed for 2 days and yet still need to pay ¥1,000 each guest to use the roof top pool.

GIGANTIC rooms, I tought I was in America. At the entrance of Chinatown, very small walk from station. Lots of restaurant around, chinese and Japanese as well. The majordome at the entrance was a great guy that could speak several langunges, indicate amazing restaurant and overall a quite entertaining and helpful person

Excellent breakfast buffet but very pricey but then again excellent in both choice and quality. Weak coffee.

2 full size bed and one extra cot allowed my family to stay comfortably. Good size room for Japan. Free pool but towel and pool lounger cost extra. Entry staff always welcome and happy to help get taxi etc. Staff speak enough English. My luggage was checked in a day early and there was no charge. Shower pressure great plus soft water. Room was cold for summer which was great.

Could smell some smoke in hallway.

The staff actively interacted with us when we asked about the decoration service for our anniversary, with many choices and options such as what kind of design, colors, and the location of the decorations we wanted. It’s very close to Chinatown and the station.

The air conditioner was a little weak, so you can’t make it cooler even in the summer.

Very clean hotel, rooms are spacious. We stayed with our two kids and we were very comfortable. Hotel is right in china town, and very close to other tourist attraction as well as bus stops. The rooftop pool is really nice.

We asked for an extra bed which they forgot. They charge 500 yen for a swimming pool towel, and don’t allow you to bring room towel.

Location, location, location. Right in Chinatown, walking distance to Yamashita Park, Yokohama Observatory Tower, Red Brick Warehouse, Yokohama Stadium, etc. All kinds of restaurants and shops.

The lighting is a little bit dark in the room and hallway. It looks a little dated.

The hotel’s location was great. It was close to the train station, practically at the entrance of Chinatown! It’s a walking distance to Yamashita Park. We were playing hide and seek at the park after it got dark because we didn’t have to worry about going back to the hotel.

The room looked bigger in the photo. The size wasn’t bad. I just got tricked by the photo and had some expectations before I saw the room. There was not much to see from our room but we were lucky to see the fireworks from our room during our stay.

Location is good. Hotel room was clean. Service was good.

I didn't use the handsfree travel with Rose Hotel as it didn't give me confidence that it would reach on time to the next hotel. So I had to walk to the nearby Yamato transport to forward my luggage.

Hotel is at the cleanest China Town that I have seen in my life.. We have a chance to taste the best and biggest Dim Sam town worldwide. We will come back to this hotel next time.
