Staff, location.
The Pillows were filthy, covered only by one thin pillowcase. They need new pillows and also covers! Under the bed was very dusty. It hasn’t been cleaned in a long time.

Location was great and near to places we wanted to go. Many small eateries around the area and just next to a 24hr supermart.
For drivers do note that there is no dropoff point for this hotel. Do not stop beside the road outside this hotel as it's exactly where the bus stop is. I did not know and got honked fiercely by the bus driver as I was out of the car and searching for the hotel entrance. Turned out the reception was on the second floor of the building. This caused much inconvenience and distress as we were not sure where to actually park and check in. There's a layer of dust on the furniture and corners were dusty. No crockery, utensils, cutlery and proper mug for making hot drinks. Only few plastic cups on the table. Do note that there's a washing machine but no dryer in the room. However, there's a service balcony for you to use hangars to dry your laundry.

located in the heart of a downtown district with a good mixture of old school restaurants and a few more foodie type places. good supermarket and monorail nearby.
The bathroom had a noticeable bad smell as if a septic tank had overflown. was hard to pin down the source but suspect the drainage or drum of the washing machine. As we checked in late that night and no front desk staff, there was little that could have been done about it. But a phone call the next day got it more or less fixed by the time we got back on the evening. So credit there for quick action, but less for it not having been dealt with prior to arrival.
