The location is superb, it is just 5 minutes walk from Hirafu Welcome Centre/Hirafu Base Gondola. It is also 5 minutes walk from the Hirafu Cross, which is the busiest part of Hirafu. You may find a lot of restaurants and convenience stores there. The hotel also offers shuttle bus to Hirafu Welcome Centre and Rhythm Ski Equipment store. You may borrow the your ski set from any of the ski equipment store and store it at the ski concierge. Every room has an assigned locker. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff is really helpful in helping you to solve any issues that you have. If you have questions prior to your trip, they will answer your questions on the app in a very detailed manner, ensuring you will have a smooth and wonderful experience here in Chalet Ivy and in Hokkaido.

The staff were exceptional in every way... always friendly, polite, helpful, and welcoming. A driver was always on hand to take you to the lifts if you didn't fancy the walk ( which isn't far, anyway). The facilities were superb. Comfortable beds and pillows and housekeeping was impeccable. We ate in for half of the nights that we were booked. The half-board menu was very traditional, and beautifully prepared, and very filling. The a la carte menu was extensive and had many options and was reasonably priced. It was great some nights, not to have to go out in search of dinner, as Niseko restaurants often require lining up to wait for a table. The onsen and gym were fantastic, and neither were very busy. Thoroughly recommend Chalet Ivy. Although it may have been a little more expensive than some other places in Hirafu, it was certainly worth it.

Location is great and is just a short walk to the chair lift. Shuttle is available to the welcome center and hirafu gondola. Room is value for money and decent sized for the price. The staff are polite and helpful. Onsen is great and really surprised us. Private onsen is available at 4000 yen and is great for family. The ala care food at restaurant is delicious although the breakfast is repetitive. The ski school is decently but do book ahead.

The rental gears didn’t match up to the accommodation’s high quality. The binding of the sb caused pain as the boot are lightweight and the binding penetrated in. Otherwise this place is perfect!

The Chalet Ivy is a mere 150m from the the chair lifts but they have shuttle vans that run you to the lifts in the morning, they have a lovely concierge service by the drying ski gear lockers who are very helpful and are a good mix of English and Japanese speaking staff. The Onsens are amazing and never busy after 7PM so perfect after a day on the slopes! The complimentary buffet breakfast is fantastic and has amazing selection. The staff were simply fantastic and were happy to answer any questions we had and were very accomodating when shipping our snowboards via courier.

Although not enough to detract from the overall experience the food we got from from the restaurant for dinner was very average borderline bad, coming out far too quickly and not really resembling the pictures.. perhaps a one off as the reviews are mostly positive.

The location was close to the Base and the staff were great - particularly those in the ski concierge and shuttle. Never a problem for the shuttle driver to shuttle you to the Hirafu gondola either. We never waited long for a shuttle and I think over the week we may have walked down the hill once from the Base, which was easy. It's also close to the town centre where you could easily walk to get dinner etc. The onsen was lovely and never crowded.

Breakfast was never relaxing. It's a squish breakfast area and not a lot of variety of food. The room was large but it seemed out of date with no USB ports.

An exceptional experience from start to finish! The Ski Con boys were not only incredibly helpful but also added a touch of charm to our stay. The gummies at the front desk were a delightful treat, and the breakfast was simply fantastic. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff, especially Moi at the front desk, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The housekeeping services were top-notch, and having access to the 24/7 onsen with both indoor and outdoor options was a dream. The location was perfect, and the shuttle service was efficient with impressive flexibility. Highly recommend Hotel Chalet Ivy for an unforgettable stay!

I wish I could give 20 stars. Moi and his team (the Ivy League!) are by far the finest in the the industry. I cannot recommend the Chalet Ivy enough. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty. The front desk staff is next level--they helped with every reservation and question we had, the bar (thanks Simon, Olivia and Tom) features the finest Japanese whiskey (many local Yoichi and Nikka bottles) and hand-crafted cocktails, and the restaurant were unreal. The breakfast buffet has everything you could ever want, from bacon/eggs, pancakes, waffles to sashimi, miso and ramen. And dinner is unreal--the seafood hot put was yorokonde!!!! Handmade earl grey mousse birthday cake for my wife, created by the in-house pastry chef??? OMG!!! Oh, and the location?????? And shuttle??? Unreal.

That we had to leave :(

Great location, close proximity to restaurants and and an easy walk to the chair lifts (complimentary shuttle is a big bonus too). The hotel is clean, tidy and everything we needed for a 5 night stay. Breakfast buffet was tasty, at times repetitive but there was enough variety. The option to book a private onsen is nice, although a bit pricey. The regular Onsen is quiet, clean and comfortable. Our room was fabulous - spacious, bright, clean, warm. Very good sized bathroom. The Ski Concierge downstairs is a bit more expensive than anywhere else in town but it's super convenient, for us it was worth it.

A smart TV/Chromecast would be appreciated - we were stuck inside for two days and couldn't really make use of the TV.

Standouts of the hotel - the king-sized bed (so.much.space!), the private shuttle (yep!) to and from the slopes, and, last but not least, the staff. They were all extremely helpful - special shoutout to Front Office Assistant Manager Mr Sho Moi Satoh, who not only gave us great recommendations on where to eat, but also made an extra effort to help us make reservations. Thank you, Satoh san!

A couple of things I didn't like if was being picky - The breakfast area is not very big, so you'll need to spill out to the corridor or to the other restaurant area if there's a crowd. Also, there are only 2 washing machines and dryers, so there is a bit of a wait if you need to do laundry.

Very supportive front desk staff, the onsen was useful. Ski rental staff were very helpful, and convenient. The van shuttle service was excellent, regularly available, and staffed by very helpful people. Rooms were spacious with lots of storage space, and nice view of the ski area.

We didn't know the Snow Palace was closed for the winter. The Hirafazo restaurant was great for breakfast, but only ok for dinner with a limited menu. High quality skiis weren't available to rent in the ski shop. Also, no boot heaters available. Ski boots go on faster when they are warm.
