The Westin Rusutsu Resort

The Westin is an exceptional hotel with Apartment style rooms. Our apartment was huge. Ours was a loft with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs where we had a big lounge, kitchen, separate toilet, bathroom and shower. We had incredible views of the snow and mountains. It was extremely comfortable particularly after a big day of skiing. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. In partular Faustine Chadaillac on reception was wonderful. She checked us in and provided us with all of the information we needed. She even helped us hire Ski gear and arranged our lift tickets. Nothing was a bother and she always did it with a smile. The location was great but you needed to catch the monorail to the slopes. The breakfast and dinner buffets in the Atrium were exceptional. Even room service was quick and tasty albeit a lot of the meals were small. The Japanese restaurant Kazahana was delicious. The hotel and the restaurants were well worth the splurge.

wonderful breakfast. the staff everywhere was so kind and helpful. the room was really cool with a split level and the kids love the Murphy beds too.

-we needed an extra bathroom and even upgrades didn’t have two bathrooms -line for a table for breakfast everyday was so long and not fun way to start your vacation day. - ski lift is not super close and not ski in and ski out as advertised. -no microwave or dishes in room to make any food. -dinner choices very expensive and difficult with kids.

Location is good, there's a 7-11 out side the Hotel with 2 minites drive. Monorail is so convience to get Rusutsu Resort. Onsen is so wonderful. Room space is bigger than I thought, kids really enjoy the stay and satisfied about the experience.

Great variety of winter activities and very fun. However, not much food choices as there's only two restaurant in hotel. Has to travel to resort side and venture outside for variety.

Could have more restaurants within hotel so we don't have to travel out.

Clean and comfortable

Food and shopping options are limited within the hotel itself. Going to the rusutsu resort side via the monorail takes longer than expected. The night ski area is at the other side not next to the hotel

The room was spacious enough and with a fantastic view.

the food options are limited. The renovation of the washroom kind of outdated. Secondly, the water temperature of the bathroom not consistent.

Proximity to the ski fields, location, choice or restaurants, free access to amenities shared with the Rusutsu resort. this is a wonderful place to stay especially if with family.

the property is a little outdated, but it didn’t impact our stay.

The hotel is a bit dated, feel it needs a revamp. Very old style and beds were very soft!

Room was really spacious and very really nice ambience. The location was nicely located near 2 convenience store so you can just walk out for snacks. Everything was explained clearly at the check in and map was provided so instructions were clear. Finally a fluffy bed and proper pillow.

Bedroom to far from WC, Have to go through a flight of stairs from bedroom to WC. Not convenient to do that in the middle of night.
