HOTEL UNIZO Osaka Umeda

I loved my stay at Hotel Unizo Osaka Umeda! The staff were very accommodating, and the best part was that my room was made every single day. The location was also perfect as it was only a 5 minute walk from Umeda, Osaka and Nakatsu stations! This hotel is a great base if you are planning to travel via the JR lines, too, as it's very near Osaka station (JR shinkansen station). There were a lot of convenience stores and restaurants around and is only a stone-throw away from Ichiran Ramen. It's also very quiet at night and I enjoyed my late night walks around the area of this hotel. I would definitely go back and stay here the next time! Thank you Hotel Unizo Osaka Umeda! :)

I wish there was a kettle for hot water in the room. It also only had one big pillow and one throw pillow, I wish I had two bigger pillows. But that's asking for too much. This place was really perfect, the best place I could ever ask for.

Location is very near Osaka Station which is the main station as well as other stations that is very accessible to a lot of places around the city. The nearest station is probably the Osaka-Umeda Station which was about a 7min walk away. Service at the reception was great, staff could speak good english which was very helpful as we don't speak Japanese. Love that they placed their amenities next to the receptionist and you can just take whatever you need and replenish whenever you want. They even provide bath salt which was fantastic. The room was slightly more spacious by Japanese hotel standards and the best part is that they have many plug points in the room which was very helpful. We even found an extra usb/type-c charger which came in handy as we forgot to bring ours. Water temperature of the shower was perfect as well which means we don't have to struggle with adjusting the temperature. Water dispenser is placed conveniently just outside the lift on each floor so it was extremely easy to refill our water bottles. We didn't need to buy any water.

We asked for a non-smoking room which the receptionist has confirmed before passing us the room key. However, upon entering the room we could smell remnants of smoke smell. We are generally pretty flexible people and wouldn't mind it however this might raise a big concern for other guests who are sensitive to smoke smell. They need to check more thoroughly next time before some other guests complain about this.

Room was nice, but small as usually in Japan. Location few steps from Osaka Umeda station, close to Osaka station (walking distance even with luggage), less then 10 min by taxi to Shin-Osaka station

Almost no choice of breakfast - only 2 options: Western & Japanese. I choose only the western, but every day it was exactly the same, even no minor change... Problem with issuing the receipt. I made the payment via booking.com and they didn't want to issue the receipt confirming the whole amount of payment. I asked about this during check-in and I was informed it is not a problem, but during check-out it was a problem. After quite long discussion they managed to issue the receipt. I had no time to contact booking.com, but earlier in Japan booking.com solved similar problem in few minutes. I am afraid that there is a general problem in Japan with receipts, when you pay not directly to a hotel...

There are so many restaurants around hotel. The size of the room is typical Japanese hotel room size so it may be a bit small for foreigners. They provide drinkable water (hot and cold) with a water dispenser on each floor.

If you walked on the ground level or in the street from the main station then you would easily get the property. However I lost in the stations and the connections between the stations. (There're at least 3 JR & subway stations around there)

This is the place i always stay when i visit Osaka. The hotel is next to the Umeda Station. and so it is very easy to access any place around Osaka city. The staff is also friendly and willing to help travelers in the hotel. It is also an eco-friendly hotel but all things you need will be well prepared by staff. After all, i highly recommend this hotel.

There are several massage chair, but I will suggest to fix the cover of the massage chair. it is attrited.

Good location, decent size room and bathroom. The bed only had one pillow per person and only one duvet, and our first impression was that it would be really uncomfortable, but we slept surprisingly well.

The room was relatively clean, however, some spots definitely haven't been cleaned thoroughly for a while. There was accumulated dust on walls and vents, and there were hairs on the bathroom ceiling. One of the dimmable lamps in the room was rather unstable and would turn off and on at random times.

We had a double bed room which was small but OK to sleep for one night. The bedroom and the bathroom were very clean and well maintained. The room was quiet and we liked the fact that the checkout was at 12pm (vs. 10am like a lot of hotels in Japan). We had breakfast and it was decent for the price with Japanese or continental options for the set menus.

There’s no storage space so I would recommend this hotel for short stays only. Unless if you’re a minimalist traveler.

just went here with my best friend for two nights, the hotel is a business hotel with basic rooms but with all the necessities available. Very clean and beds really comfortable. this is a very good hotel if you are looking for a normal stay, position is excellent.

if you are a very light sleeper, please note that the hotel rooms are on the train lines but the room is sound proof. if you have a lot of problems sleeping and need maximum silence then I wouldn’t recommend this place, otherwise it’s fine

The pillow OMG my favorite pillow in the world hahaha and the location was really good. It’s in between two metro stations which was convenient because the Umeda station was way too busy and complicated for me to navigate. The room is pretty small even for a single person and quite pricy for what you were getting, but the staff was really lovely and the room was very clean…and don’t forget the most amazing pillow hahaha

Location was 💯💯💯 amazing!! Short walk from the main Osaka Station (take the North Central exit), sooo near to all the malls both big and small so you have local brands + big brands and even secondhand goods! Abundance of food in the area as well. Hotel is well upkept. Room is a lil smaller than the other hotels we stayed at, but just rearrange the furniture a bit and all good haha
