APA Hotel Sapporo Susukino Ekinishi

I accidentally booked a smoking room… it’s kind of buried in all of the other booking information when making a reservation. However, when we got there they would not let us change to a non smoking room :( Other than that it was a very pleasant stay- very close to transit and walking distance to lots of fun things to do. We could not find the thermostat for the room, so had to crack a window (indoor spaces are kept very hot in Japan), which was mostly sufficient in keeping the room cool enough and circulating some air (we also bought a little air freshener thing that helped a lot)

Eatery-near to my boy's famous ramen stall - iichiran, right across the hotel. Room-The room is very big with a big sitting area , value for money. Clean and well maintain. Location - Not far from jr station, we took a cab from jr station to hotel cost around yen1000-1200. There is a 711 store next to the hotel. Staff - very helpful and friendly especially 森内 He has been very patient to help us to arrange for luggage transfer to Narita airport hotel. My opinion - We have been to Hokkaido more than 10 times and this hotel exceeded our expectations with the price we paid. We stayed at Mercure , Keio , JR inn, Raymond and JR tower . If you don't mind the building looks old , U need a big room you may consider this hotel The room is well kept .

The building is a bit old but the room is well kepIt and comfortable. Repainting will look good Drinking water should be provided for every night not on the day of arrival.

The location of the hotel was very good. Easy access from driving and close to Tanukikoji, Pole Town (underground shopping street) and Odori Park. It is good value for money. We had 5 beds in the bedroom so we could all stay together. It is very clean and tiny. It meets the expectation.

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Very hard and seems slanted so it is very hard to get comfortable. The room itself is very aged and some of the electronics are not working (bed light buttons etc). The parking is under a contractor so the service desk could not help us when we asked about the charges of carpark use. (It is more than I was advised).

The room is big and clean, supplies were left in front of your door if you prefer not to have the room cleaned for the day. There's a 711 and Lawson nearby, also the Susukino train station is a block away, and the shiden (streetcar) is just around the corner.

The breakfast was too expensive for the quality, we were underwhelmed and tried it only once. There wasn't so much variety to choose from and for ¥1800/pax, we found it not worth it. You also need to let the front desk know if you are going to eat breakfast in the hotel at least a day before.

Property is really convenient, near to Susukino station and walking distance to Tanukikoji and Mega Don Quixote. Stay was 4 nights, all 4 nights was comfortable. Staff didn’t speak fluent english but was extremely cooperative. Overall, very pleasant stay and worth for money!! Will stay here again if i’m back in Sapporo and wants to stay near city area.

Only downside was the coin laundry service. Dryer was really weak, required 2 times of drying for normal clothes to dry, and my jeans only dried on the 3rd dry.

location - very good. The hotel is near to Odori park in very peaceful area as well as very near to Susukino city center. It is in front of the tram station and 2 minutes away from the Susukino subway station. Full of nice restaurants near by. There is a 7-Eleven just beside the hotel. Room - was exceptionally big and well maintained and clean. Staff - were fabulous. super helpful. Though they know little English, it was not an issue at all to communicate as we can use translator.

Great location, 5 minute walk to Susukino subway and 15 minute walk to Sapporo station. Very spacious room. Daily delivery at door including towels, robe, toothbrush, toothpaste, disposable cup, bath towel, cotton bud, cotton pad, hair brush, hair tie, shaver, coffee, tea and sugar. 7/11 located next door for your convenience.

Fridge in the room was not working, therefore unable to chill drinks. Pillow was very flat.

Clean and spacious rooms. Location ok but to go to Sapporo station area it’s either a long walk or a short ride costing ¥210. Otherwise Susukino area is quite good and vibrant too. Not far from Odori park and Nakajima park.

Location a bit far if you want go to the Sapporo station underground mall. While there is an underground mall near Suskino, it’s not like Sapporo station where the major stores like Daimaru and Tokyu are.

I like the location because it is so close with all the sites and restaurants, we can literally walk everywhere.. we also like the room because it is bigger than the standard room in japan and it has big window which we like so its enjoyable. We also tried the breakfast and its delicious.

the staff can be more attentive when we are check in and looking for the elevator. Thats all, other than that the staff is helpful enough during our stay.

Spacious room, Japanese-style shower room (great if you’re well-versed with onsens but otherwise might be weird), location was on the outskirts of central Susukino which was nice to get away from crowds, and excellent service by the front desk staff (we used Yamato transport services with their help multiple times)!
