JR Inn Sapporo

The hotel is located just under 5 min walk from the Sapporo station so it is extremely convenient in terms of moving around for since we made day trips throughout the time we were there. Make sure you get a JR pass as it saves a lot of money, and I would recommend getting the free reserved seats (which can be arranged at any station) for the longer trips. It is also within convenient reach of the New Chitose Airport via the train system (use Rapid service). The rooms are small but very comfortable. Breakfast has a range of basic items like bread and rolls, hard boiled eggs, juices, milk (must try the Hokkaido milk!), and yoghurt. For the price we paid during our stay, the 'total package' was real value for money. There is also quite a bit to see within walking distance like the Odori Park, Clock Tower and even Museum. Quite a number of nice restaurants also within walking distance.

Not so much not liking but just being prepared to manage your daily clothing and packing. There were no cupboards in our room (probably because of the size of the room) but we were able to get around it by using our luggage as 'cupboards'. Just needs a little getting used to. Soe space is available for hanging your jackets and stuff.

Superb location which is very near to Sapporo station and convenience stores/malls. You can get extra pillows in the lobby. Has a laundry area and appliances available. Staffs are very nice and accommodating. Easy checkout.

No complimentary water provided. More options for their breakfast inclusion. No currency exchange machine in the property.

The space is the room is fantastic for 1 - 2 persons. There is ample space on top and below the table to put lots of things and do work at the same time. The location is fantastic within 5 mins walk from Sapporo Station. Parking is of better value as compared to other hotels. Breakfast is good. Ambience is fantastic. Hotel staff is really helpful and polite.

You may like to note that there are only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. So if you plan to use it, do note that it is in high demand. Suggest that the hotel could add more to facilitate better waiting time by those using them.

Room was larger than most business hotels I’ve stayed at and quite comfortable for 2 people. Breakfast was simple but excellent, consisting of breads, rolls, margarine, jam and tuna and mayonnaise pouches. Juice, coffee and 3 types of soup of which I particularly liked the cream chowder. Boiled eggs,mashed potatoe, Hokkaido pudding and yoghurt in containers were in a refrigerated cabinet. Breakfast room flowed even when busy. Great location and would stay again.

Hotel was located close to Sapporo Station but you had to know how to get there from the station. There were some small signs directing you where to exit from the station but once you passed through the exit gates and into a mall there were no signs. We asked for directions but we had to walk outside in the snow and around a couple blocks. The secret was to find the Paseo West exit, which was right across from the exit gates, walk through some on-going construction work, out onto the sidewalk, cross the street, down one block, and enter the hotel from their corner entrance. We enjoyed the view outside overlooking the train tracks. There were trains running constantly until midnight. We enjoyed watching the snow falling and slowly cover the tracks. Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. Hotel was maintained very well - rooms, corridors, elevators, and front lobby.

The room was tiny, as expected, but we wished they had a small closet to hang up our bulky coats and other clothes. There was not much room to put two normal size luggages, so we had to put them in the narrow aisle space. We wish there were more choices for breakfast. We had bread, rolls, juice, soft boiled eggs, and yogurt. Due to COVID, seating was only allowed at every other seat.

The staff were super helpful with an issue we faced. They went out of their way to help us multiple times. The facilities and amenities are so well thought out. Loved the delicious breakfast which was free. Lovely bread is served with other light but fresh and you my treats. Highly recommended.

The room is a tad small and had only one chair. Maybe another small foldable stool somewhere would be helpful for 2 of us to sit together comfortably

Property was very reasonably priced for the amenities and location. Staff are very helpful especially with handling luggage.

The breakfast menu was limited to bread and eggs and some dairy. Stayed for 6 nights and the menu was not changed/ improved the whole time. Also, they do not offer Yamato services and asked us to have our bags delivered to the adjacent convenient store.

Reasonably priced, excellent location (5mins walk fro JR Sapporo), with complimentary breakfast (simple but sufficient for the price of the room), and has everything that you can think of that you'd need for a short stayover in Sapporo. Even though the room is next to the train tracks, there was an added sliding wall that helped to soundproof the room further. Excellent convenient design for international travellers.

Location is good, just near the JR Sapporo Station West exit 5 mins walking distance without using staircase, recommended for people who traveling with heavy luggage. Thank you for helping us move our luggage before we check in again.

room is very small, it's hard to open our luggage, bathroom lighting can make it brighter.

The selection of pillows was great. Bed was comfy, and the room was at just the right temperature. We loved being able to select the amenities you required. The face cloths are great. Free basic breakfast provided and use of microwave. Overall, it was an excellent stay. Hotel well located to Sapporo Station.

Room was very compact and a bit smaller than we were expecting.
