Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo

The location was ideal for travellers that like walking as it is walking distance to all the major tourist attractions. The property itself is fairly new with a good lounge / breakfast venue where you can use it free of charge other than breakfast time for some liquid refreshments.

Some wear and tear with the bathroom, no drip coffee bags or dry powders are provided within the room for you to enjoy at breakfast. The Internet, however is really outdated or had problems with WiFi connection, it kept cutting itself out. This issue must be looked into, otherwise, cannot work within the room.

It was very close to the station, which was convenient. I liked the public bath - it was small but relaxing.

The room was much too hot, and we couldn’t turn down the heat to a comfortable level. We had to sleep with the window open in the middle of February! On a busy weekend, the bath gets a little crowded, so there are not enough shower stations for everyone. Because of this, a tourist went into the bath without even rinsing off first, which was a bit shocking. That is not the fault of the hotel, though.

The most I like about this hotel is the interior of the room and its functionality (ie. the space on the bedhead, the horizontal plugs, the display cabinet, spacious etc). Customer service was excellent. It's only 5 min walking from Sapporo station. We have been travelling around Japan, and by far this hotel is the best out of many other hotels we have stayed, including the branded hotel that we paid more than double of the price we paid at this hotel. Keep up the good work guys!!!

The location was great. It was just 2 blocks away from the Sapporo station and from the old government building. There are nearby restaurants and convenience stores as well. Service was good. All the staff were very helpful. They even have trolleys for those with lots of luggages like us. They also have free luggage storage. Checking out was a breeze because of the self service check out machine. Breakfast in their restaurant was also amazing and a must try even once. Overall the stay was amazing.

We are informed before hand that we were placed in a smoking room but we don't smoke, so we just didn't like the smell of the room when we checked in. But fortunately they provided a deodorizer/multi-use cleaner spray that helped with minimizing the smell of cigarette in the room.

The front desk team was the best of my entire One month trip, everyone I encountered was friendly yet professional always with a smile on their faces. Special thanks to Ms. Ishida for being helpful in arranging the transfer of my luggage from Sapporo to Tokyo. Will definitely stay at the Mitsui Garden when next in Sapporo.

Second time staying here, both times a good experience. Location very handy right next to the train station, but also easy to walk to the shops/restaurants in the city centre. Rooms always a nice size, modern and comfortable, plus a large breakfast buffet. Will be back on my next trip.

Great location, just 5 minutes from the JR station and department stores nearby. The hotel has its own parking lot which is 1500 yen per day. Convenient stores are also nearby.

The room is a bit old and a bit dusty ( on shelves and top of the beds) but acceptable for the price paid.

location - less than 5 mins walk from Sapporo station. it’s 15 -25 mins walk from central town area. Really worth it if u r using the train a lot. room - room is very clean and the hotel has a hot pool. breakfast - breakfast is pretty good and has a lot of options.

Quite strict on outfit - you can’t wear slippers in the breakfast room

Location is great. Room is spacious enough to spread our luggages. Buffet breakfast selection is good too. Great customer service from all the staff we encountered.

Queen Room window cannot be opened and we cannot figure out how to operate the air conditioner.

Room size is decent. Location is perfect only 300 meter from train station. Onsen on the 2nd floor is a nice touch but only indoor. Lounge is available from 3-10pm.

Lack of outdoor public onsen.
