We stayed in the room with a terrace and it was very beautiful, clean, comfortable and more spacious than expected. The location is perfect - on a picturesque street filled with trees and cafes, walking distance to Chapultepec and also the historic center. Excellent 24/7 front desk reception and outside security made us feel especially safe. Amenities include a heated pool which we were able to use even at night in late November. Go next door to Hera for delicious food and coffees (the music is not as bad as previous reviews mention unless you’re planning to sleep between 9 am to 4 pm). We can’t wait to come back again!

This is my go to hotel in Guadalajara. Staff are so attentive and caring, it's the small details that really make your trip! The day of our arrival, David had a little surprise for us (I'm guessing this changes with guests :) ) which included a complimentary facial added on to our massage (definitely book a treatment, you won't regret it)! The facial was the perfect ending to our relaxing massage. Food and drinks are always great at the restaurant, and if you are getting the complimentary coffee or tea service in the morning, I would go with the tea, since the coffee isn't too strong (unless you like it that way). We took two family members here for the first time and they fell in love with the bed! The bedding and mattress are so comfortable, you won't want to get out. :) Our family also took a dip in the pool, which apparently is heated and very comfortable, tho it is smaller, so don't expect to do laps. Overall, once again, a great experience and customer service. Hats off to David and Lissi. Really great hosts!

Maybe the morning coffee can be improved.

This hotel is beautiful, absolutely well located and the staff goes above and beyond at all times. Will definitely be staying there again in the future.

We ordered tea late at night. Tea selection after restaurant hours is limited and not very well updated, however, the service is always kind, professional and very on point.

Very wide choice of breakfast options. A mix of local cuisine and classic cafeteria style food. Such as chilaquiles, english breakfast, acai bowls etc.

Room service finishes at 4pm. However there are still many great eating options nearby. The concierge gave some good recommendations. It's in a beautiful neighborhood so it's worth getting outside to explore.

This is my 3rd time at Gala Hotel and I'm beyond impressed by the friendly and helpful staff (shoutout to David and Lissi, they really know how to make you feel welcome). My second time I went with my mother who was blown away by the hospitality and comfort of the hotel (she raved about the comfort of the bed and cleanliness of the sheets). She also loved the location, which is walking distance to many popular spots (vegan stalls, pulque, and the beautiful Templo Expiatorio). We were given our complimentary drinks non-alcoholic as well as some delicious looking macaroons (not vegan, so my mom got to enjoy them, but perhaps if you tell front desk your dietary restrictions, they will modify to your preference). My third time was with my partner and unfortunately I caught a bug that left me bed bound for a while (thankfully it was not COVID, I got tested immediately) and the staff were friendly enough to let us have a late checkout as we awaited our transportation to the airport. This let me rest and recover, which made a world of difference. Very thankful for that. Definitely the place to stay if you're in Guadalajara! Protip: after a long day of site-seeing or walking, I recommend booking a relaxing massage with their stellar masseuses. I did and was treated to a chocolate oil massage that was a perfect way to end the day. :)

Our room was comfortable, but a bit small. However, I had asked for a walk-in shower so that my mom would not hurt herself. I believe the rooms with the shower in room are bigger, but it's better to ask the staff beforehand.

We had a wonderful time at Gala, the staff were so attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to make our short stay fantastic. Shout out to David, Lissi, and Alex (night shift - apologies if I got the name incorrectly) who kept us pampered throughout our stay. :) This includes the bellhop who greeted us and helped with our luggage! Some positive things to note: - Room was spacious and clean - We were given a complimentary alcoholic drink that included a gold foiled watermelon! It was delicious after a night of having to stay in due to work - We got shiatsu massages and it was wonderful! I was so relaxed that I fell asleep a few times. Kudos to the two masseuses - We were provided with either coffee or tea day and night. Ending the night with a nice cup of tea was a nice touch. - The bathtub/shower inside the room was nice and provided a great stream of water, the hot water took a bit, but was nice - Bed was big and very comfortable! After a night of working and staying in, we relaxed and watched a movie on it - The Hera restaurant staff were friendly and the alcoholic drinks were delicious. Definitely recommend the Cucumber pimp! It was refreshing on a hot day - Staff were quick to respond on Whatsapp, which is what they use to communicate with guests (perhaps they can use Signal or another service for those that do not use it?) - Dietary accommodations! We are vegan and though we did not eat at the restaurant, we saw that the restaurant has a few vegan options and they can substitute plant based milks for the coffee - Close to a lot of great bars and restaurants! Walking around Americana is also a delight

- Not really a big negative for us, but the toilet area is a bit small, so if you are a bit bigger, you may have some difficulty. I would consult with the front desk. :) - Music was a bit too loud in the restaurant, other than that, great vibes.

Creative breakfast menu. Special cocktails a must. Coffee specialities! Staff amazingly helpful and bi-lingual. Bistro dining al fresco. Cozy, comfortable public spaces, great design, contemporary art throughout the building. Walking neighbourhood. Internet reliable.

Rooms are a little on the small side for two people but most have access to lovely open spaces.

the only problem was with ordering food to the room as the concierge was not well in synch with the kitchen and we had several times where the order was not possible, even though we took the concierge’s recommendation. but once we could find to order the food was delicious..

Comfortable, stylish room. Pleasant and helpful staff. Nice location.

Noise from the restaurant until late at night.

Great access to cafes and restaurants! This is a very calm neighborhood. The property has a very historic presence with a modern twist, beautiful blend.
