Hotel Casino Plaza

I liked that the hotel is an easy walk to the Historical District of Guadalajara. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room size was big, clean and the bed was extra comfy. I used Room Service and it was fast and delicious for a good price.

For me the Hotel was dark (dark woods, limited sun light) and because the floors are tiled they are cold....bring your slippers. I also thought there was an airport shuttle but it was just a flat rate for the Taxi....if you are coming from the airport book the flat rate as it is 270 pesos and a Taxi hired at the airport is 360 pesos (or more).

The facilities were good, in great location for a fair price. The bellhop/door guys and maintenance ladies were awesome.

There are no coffee pots in the rooms, you have to request for it. Staff at the front desk weren't the most helpful, both receptionist I interacted with regarding the coffee pot and access to a printer, lack of customer service and communication skills. Short answers, would not look you at the face as if they were too busy and you were on their way. Note, after asking a different receptionist on a different day, I was giving access to a printer on the VIP business office.

The hotel is old, but very well maintained. It's super clean and comfortable. The bedroom is huge and the beds and pillows are excellent. My room was very quiet and the air conditioning was ok. But the best of all is the location: in the heart of the historical district, walking distante from most important churches and attractions. Lots of cafés and restaurants, as well as many Oxxos (local 24hour service supermarkets. It was a great choice. I strongly recommend the hotel breakfast (the option "norteño" ... a real local, tasty and healthy breakfast for around US$10 !).

The staff is very friendly, but it would be nice if they were a little bit more proactively in telling guests about the super good touristic attractions nearby. Another minor problem: they don't offer plug adaptors. I had to go out to buy one

The room was clean, modern, and had its own air conditioner which you could control. The area surrounding the hotel is a working neighborhood, which means it is not posh but close to all the historical centro sites. The hotel restaurant has a very nice menu and the staff is lovely. We arrived quite early and they put our luggage in a locked room so we could immediately go out and begin exploring. The hotel has its own parking garage for those driving. We walked or used Uber for our trip and it was all easy.

As I’ve mentioned before, from previous stays here, the front desk staff is not very friendly especially if you don’t speak perfect Spanish. All other staff members were very nice and courteous. I enjoyed my stay (my third time) but I’ll stay in another part of the city next time. The Central Zone has really deteriorated since my last stay…tons of graffiti, trash and lots of traffic. BTW I stayed April 9-10 not April 8-9, 2023

I forgot that breakfast was included in my price. Of course, the front desk staff didn’t volunteer this information much less give my some type of voucher. By the time I noticed, I was long gone.

Great location, we had alot of options of things to do and eat near by, or room was comfortable and well stocked, staff were friendly , helpful and welcoming

If i could suggest the front desk staff should be aware of the details of the tours they offer. We paid for a tour to the Guachimontones and it was not worth it at all, we could have driven there and paid the entrance for just 150 pesos instead of paying 2500 pesos for 5 people. We had to pay the entrance fee on top off the cost of the tour

Very good location, big bedroom, good wifi and tv, very clean, the soap has à fantastic smell

Some guest are very loud, the last night some youngsters stayed in the corridor laughing till 4 am. I called the réception twice, the guy tried his best but they just hid from him.

Everything was perfect, quick check in and out, car parked indoor, right next to the lobby. Staff ready to bring luggage to the room, which was very spacious with a great shower and very comfortable beds. Perfect room size for 4 guests. Buffet breakfast also great for the price with very friendly staff who pay attention to guests every need. Bravo! Definitely my hotel next time in Guadalajara, hopefully for a stay longer than one night. The price through Booking.com was impossible to beat, considering the quality of the hotel.
