Unbeatable location right on the laguna was definitely worthwhile. Nice outdoor area by the water including some shaded areas near the dock, which was much appreciated with the heat. The rooms were simple but clean. Nice breakfast with generous portions were included. We relied on our rental car to get around, as the hotel is on the main highway, outside of the central area. Bacalar is a charming town that is worth exploring.

Downsides: - breakfast not available until 8:30am - no kitchenette in rooms, and bringing your own food is not allowed as they have a small restaurant onsite. A small fridge would probably be appreciated by guests! - pool onsite could have been better serviced/cleaned

On the lagoon. We loved swimming and relaxing on the deck. Easy, fast checkin. The staff were lovely and always ready to help, and helped us organise tours. Good breakfast. Two choices (continental or hot option of the day). Plus tea, coffee or juice. The fresh juices made for a great start to the day

The fixed shower head is positioned that the water goes all over the bathroom.

You have direct access to the lagoon. We were able to swim when the waters were calm. The view is phenomenal and it's a short ride to the center of town. The rooms have AC. They also allow dogs! And they have kayak rentals. I would stay again for sure.

The rooms are old and outdated, and the one we stayed in was a little small. The free breakfast was just okay. It was lacking, but not terrible.

The location is great! There's a direct dock to the lagoon! You can access the lagoon from it and spend the day there. It cannot get better than that! The personal was super friendly (shout out to Juan from breakfast) and the beautiful reception lady that called a taxi for us.

The sewage smelled strongly from the bathroom and the shower with hot water did not have a lot of pressure.

Beautiful property with a cool grotto. the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

We were told at check in there was a restaurant for dinner but it was only open for breakfast-I expect that was because we stayed over Christmas, so it might not be the norm. The family dog and cat that lived on site were a delight.

Breakfast was great both days we were offered different options. Also we were offered a menu in case we want something from the menu. We rented kayaks from the hotel and used them right off the back porche of the hotel. They offer a good price on the kayak rentals. Also we were offered a tour around the laguna but we declined it.

The only thing I will change from the hotel will be the public bathrooms they were all the way at the main lobby and far from pool area or the entrance to the Laguna.

Location and access to lagoon was spectacular. Loved the breakfast and the staff were excellent 👌

The noise of the highway but it is understandable considering where the location is so no fault of the hotels I would get use to it lol

Breakfast was good first morning. 2nd morning. Service was extremely slow. Had to ask at window for coffee twice. Food service was slow, food not warm.

More bottled water in room. TV directions in English. Local discount restaurants.

The view of the lake was marvelous from the room and from the deck, we were able to access and swim in the lake, the rooms was comfortable good air conditioning

the internet was accessible only at the front desk, the continental breakfast starts at 8:30 AM it was late if you want to go early to someplace else

the view, the pool and the hidden from view (non-operational) bar at the waters edge.

the rooms albeit clean and comfortable, the curtains had seen better days … time for a small investment
