Room was a good size. Bathroom also. We liked the swimming pool. That area had a nice garden. Staff was helpful and nice.

The palapa roof made the room smell a bit moldy after the rains when the sun was out. I think this was also the reason why the room was a bit louder than I expected. Constant barking of dogs next door ( I don't think it was any of the guests' dogs) was irritating, especially when it was midnight and I wanted to sleep. I guess that is not the hotel's fault. They have a private "club" where you can access the lagoon for free but it was a bit of a trek to get there, and it's not an area where you can easily get a taxi.

The property (especially the rooms) were beautiful. We liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra night, we had to move to one of the downstairs rooms but this was just as lovely and so spacious. The staff were so kind and accommodating, they always greeted us and were always so happy to help. We had seen a few bad reviews about the location of the beach club, and yes it is a walk but it means you are at a much nicer part of the lake than that which is directly in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is close to town so is perfect for accessing all the bars and restaurants. You really do get the best of both worlds at this place!

The room looked so pretty with pool view. The staff were so kind. The bathroom is good but could have been a bit cleaner(it was not bad at all though). I felt sad when I was offered a poor plate of fruits as a vegan when all the other people were served a big, fancy breakfast—at least they could have prepared, something like, guacamole. But it’s personal. The hotel in general was fine, highly recommend!

great location, quaint and quiet with a lovely (small) pool and area. rooms were large, beds comfortable and really nice showers. breakfast was good, limited choices but really nice. choice of coffee/tea, then fruit (banana, papaya and melon) or juice, then a choice of scrambled eggs with your one choice of veg (onion, tomatoe etc) or pancakes. both were really good. Has a separate private lake access and pontoon which was great and has free kayaks.

no hair drier in the room and they had a coffee pot but no coffee. the lake area was still under construction and had no toilet/shower/changing facilities.

we had a spacious room with a small kitchen area and a big balcony with a nice hammock. we also liked the pool and the „beach club“ which belongs to the hotel - it’s about 15min walk or a 4min drive away but has a nice area and they even offer free kayaks and have a bar area with drinks and food for sale. location is good and only a few minutes away from a lot of restaurants and shops.

- bed was really uncomfortable - communication in English was sometimes bit hard (but we made it work with google translate)

We got a full breakfast because the promised room was booked out to others. Perla the receptionist handled our frustration well. The charming chef Miguel took our breakfast order in English and it was well prepared. The location was perfect for walking and taxis only cost 70 peso to most places. We liked the La Playita resto just down the street. Pizzeria Bertilla had good vegetarian options for us. They have a lagoon side jetty associated with the hotel where you could go and use loungers at no cost.

The mix up with the room was annoying but they compensated by offering a full breakfast. The bed was quite hard. The wifi dropped from time to time and we had to go to the window to try to pick it up again. The lagoon side jetty was not signposted and we took hours walking around trying to find it.

everything! the cutest little hotel, 5 min walk from the main square. it has lovely spacious rooms with AC. there is a nice pool. we had a lovely breakfast included (set menu) but couldn’t fault it, fresh fruit and pastries with eggs or pancakes, with freshly squeezed juice. it was very good value

the only thing I would comment on is, there is only 3 sun beds and would be nice for all guests to be able to share the pool. if you wanted an afternoon lounging and there’s no beds you have chairs

Great breakfast, very nice staff, comfy bed and great balcony, centrally located, nice hot showers, nice pool area but the chairs were always taken. Super quiet and slept really well in the hotel! Great that they provide drinking water, always a nice plus. The pier they have is a bit of a walk, but really quiet and peaceful there.

The fan didn't work in the room and they didn't do anything about it when I told them, they just shrugged. I asked for a slightly later checkout and they said no, no flexibility there. But neither were a big deal and I would stay there again.

We were delighted with this small, family run hotel. The room was cozy and clean with a small kitchenette. Breakfast at the adjacent restaurant was extremely tasty and of good quality. The hotel's location to both the beach and the town center was only two to three hundred meters. For price and quality Poza Clara can't be beat!

The bathroom sink facet was a bit wonky and would spray us with water when we turned it on.

the staff is amazing! super accommodating and friendly. the hotel is well located, right off the city centre. the pool is very nice with sun throughout the day. room is of good size and shower is comfortable.

we had a few issues with the bathroom, but they quickly came to help. breakfast is slightly minimal but seems to be a recurrence in Yucatan.
