Such a lovely oasis in Tulum. The location was great, just far enough away from the main nightlife to not be bothered by it but only a short walk to be right in the centre of town. The staff were all incredible, the food and drinks and service was amazing. As a solo traveller I felt safe and and at home with the lovely welcoming and friendly team of people working here. I would definitely return.

The only two things that I didn't love were: - no bedside lights or light switch for the main light near the bed. (Not a huge deal) - the owner or manager seemed quite annoyed a lot of the time and would shout at the staff which was quite off-putting and seemed very over the top and unnecessary. Hopefully he was just having a bad week and that's not the way the staff are normally treated.

The hotel is beautiful, staff are amazing and its a great location. The food at the restaurant is really good (really large portions) and the happy hour even better. We were able to rent scooters and bikes from the hotel for a really reasonable price and the staff gave recommendations and safety advice. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

It can be noisy at night, one night there was loud music and someone shouting over a microphone until 4am. It didnt affect our stay being amazing but its something to consider.

We were very happy with our stay at Xscape Tulum. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with a nice little balcony, that was surrounded by plants for lots of privacy. The pool area was great - especially as the beach in Tulum is currently covered in seaweed, the pool was a perfect place to relax and cool off. The staff were very helpful and kind. The restaurant was also great, they offered a good breakfast deal until 12pm each day, so no rush to wake up in the morning. The hotel also offered bike rentals which was very useful to explore the surrounding areas.

The hotel is a little far from the main town, this had its pros and cons. It meant that it was nice and quiet, but it’s a bit of a walk to the main bars and restaurants. There were a couple of very nice places close by though.

I’ll start with saying the Staff Were Wonderful on every level at this Hotel…they actually care. The restaurant has excellent food again with excellent service. Housekeeping did a excellent job with keeping our room squeaky clean even under the bed. Front desk staff always willing to help or recommend things…awesome experience.

I would like to see a designated area for smokers, I don’t smoke neither does my wife. I don’t think it’s respectful for people to smoke in my face in the restaurant while eating or pool area. I would like to see more people wearing masks, I experienced quite a few people with very bad coughing issues (sick) these people should be asked to put a mask on…it was very uncomfortable to see this and no respect for the healthy people sitting beside them in the restaurant or pool area. The pillows on the bed were terrible, sorry but they were really uncomfortable…lumpy old feeling. Your beds actually feel quite good but the pillows need to be replaced.

We planned to stay for 1 night and ended up booking 5 nights. It meant we moved rooms a few times and they were all fantastic! Great place to hire bikes around the corner, and 10ish min bike ride to the beach. Loads of vegan food places locally (bonus for me). The staff were fantastic and gave a real personal touch! We were caught out the first night, as the gates were shut when we got back, but there is always someone on the desk to let you in :)

the property was well maintained. the staff was always very helpful. even when I booked my tour to Chechen itza they helped make that happen. I myself enjoyed the location it was at the end of town far enough from the nightlife, but close enough to walk, restaurants were closer and there were PLENTY to chose from but every morning I would go to the Coffee shop right down the street for AMZING coffee and great food. I highly recommend this place. Also renting a scooter for about $30 a day was perfect to hit all the beaches and the tulum ruins all within 10 maybe 15min on the scooter.

there really isn’t much I didn’t like about it. I got exactly what I expected for my travels.

this hotel is just stunning! I loved everything about it. - amazing garden, pool and facilities - the restaurant was awesome and had delicious meals on the menu - very attentive staff, super nice and helpful - good location in general in tulum town - in general rather calm & quiet which I loved - my first room on the ground floor was super quiet & just lovely, the second one on the first floor was a bit less soundproofed

only minor things: - located next to a main road (bit noisy at rush hour times but not too much) - someone in the restaurant has a strange ringtone that goes off every 3 mins :D (like “ah ohh”) - a hairdryer would have been great

Very clean. Great pool. Lovely staff. We could rent scooters and bikes which was great. Food here is yummy too!

Towels changed just once in the 7 days we stayed there. Often toilet rolls not replaced so had to go get more (on 3 occasions) location is perfect if you want to be close to town but the town is not great. I would definitely recommend to stay near the beach.

I have stayed there four times as I like the location and it’s more or less quiet at night. The staff are very friendly.

I wish they had soap dispensers rather than single use plastic bottles. furthermore it would be nice to have a chair in the bedroom . I asked for a room downstairs as I can’t lift my heavy luggage, however I was given a room upstairs and a receptionist helped me. At check out there was no one around to help hence I had to carry a 25 kg suitcase down several steep stairs . The owner doesn’t appear to be friendly and never once said hello, spoke loudly in the small restaurant and had extremely loud heated arguments. it was very uncomfortable for many guests I believe .

We enjoyed our stay at the Xscape Tulum. The hotel is in a quiet part of town...approx 20 mins walk from the main part of the main street. The grounds are so luscious and green and really well maintained. The pool was lovely, too, but the bottom needs to be fixed. Staff were efficient, and a lovely welcome drink was provided. Our room was nice and spacious and had a big terrace with bean bags.

The room had a coffee machine, but no tea or coffee was provided. Pillows were really hard. There was construction going on, so it was noisy during the day.
