This was probably the nicest hotel room we had on our trip. Such a lovely stay here, it was very quiet and peaceful, we barely saw other guests, the room was spacious and airy. The pool was lovely (much deeper than expected so you could swim) and it was a bonus to have a hammock on the balcony.
We knew this when booking so this was not a negative of the hotel but something to be aware of is that is not super close to restaurants etc, we had a 15-25 minute walk to everywhere we wanted to eat. But in general, we found Tulum only works if you have a car/scooter/bike. It is not a walkable town, so that would apply to every property, unless you are paying for the very expensive all inclusives on the beach

I liked the pool! Also, easy to solve the minor issues. We arrived after the check-in time (it is only till 6pm), and that was OK. Microwave did not work, got the new one fast. The cord of the little stove ring was melted, not sure if we didi it, but the owner did not mind.
It is a nice place in a rustic house, but not sure it deserves the rating 9 and above. A bit aged, especillay kitchen. Now when I have seen it, would have spent a bit more money to stay at Xperience Tulum Hotel nearby, looked amazing and has much more to offer. The things that botherd me that there are e.g. nice rocking chairs outdoors and wooden chairs indoors, but only at the owners part. Cheep plastic cahirs for the guests. No pool sunbeds, no pool towels. With a small investmnet, it could be much attractive place. Also, terrace doors need the mosquito net so one can leave the doors open during the night.

Excellent value for money, the room was spacious and impeccably clean. There was even a kitchenette and a pool (which we didn't use, but looked very nice).
The only drawback was that the location is a little far out, but definitely walkable if you don't mind walking a bit.

Staff was very friendly, and cleaned the room everyday. Very big room for two persons. Room including swimming pool are good value for money.
A 15 min walk to the city center, but it was OK.

The lady from the hostel is really friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and have a lot of space ! Great view to the garden and swimming pool was perfect !
