City Centro by Marriott San Luis Potosi

The location is very good, right in the city centre

The location is extremely noisy with the irregular and unlicensed clubs around the block. There is an afterhours place that starts at 02:00 and closes at 09:00 in the morning with unbelievable loud music. Apparently, it is owned by the governor and the authorities do nothing about it. No other quality hotels will open in the city centre if authorities do not prioritize legal, high quality, job creating bussiness.

Excellent location, beautifully renovated building, large rooms with very comfortable beds and amazing terrace with pool.

Staff seemed new and not all very well informed (although nice). For example, we were told by one person there was no laundry service although there is. We were charged $USD 105 for a bag of laundry which is a total rip off, and had to chase them for its return. Rooms with windows on the street were noisy at night, especially at the weekend. The bar on the roof only sells beer for some reason, no cocktails etc.

The pool and view upstairs were fantastic, world-class. The staff was friendly. The location was outstanding. The place was spotless. Our room was quiet as requested.

We should have been directed to a specific parking lot near the hotel as there is no parking on-site. It would be very easy to give specific directions to a parking lot. You would even have several locations printed and handed out to those who pull up. Also, I thought that for that price 1) Our room was too small. 2) Breakfast should have been included.

I liked the location and the hotel was very nice. It was clean and the rooms were better than I expected. The staff tried their best to be friendly and welcoming.

I didn't like the fact that they advertise their pool online however, they rent out the pool and top floor for parties so it was not available most of my trip . The main reason why I booked this hotel was to use the pool so when I was told its closed on Saturday because of a private party, it annoyed me.

I had dinner at the terrace restaurant and didn't find any vegetarian option except for salad but the salad was good with nuts and apple slices and the salad dressing was delicious.

The rooftop view is beautiful and the swimming pool is clean and refreshing but a bit cold in the evening around 6:30 pm in early January. I'm assuming it is not heated and maybe it's just as well it is not considering global warming. I swam for five minutes and took a warm shower just before dinner and it added to my stay.

What a well-crafted space. The building is one of the oldest still operating as a hotel in Mexico, and it was very well thoughtfully redesigned and modernized. Great public spaces including the pool area and the outside area on floor 5. The room was large, with a comfortable bed and nice shower. The staff were lovely, and the location is great for exploring the historic city center.

Nothing to complain about.

The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Very clean and beautiful building. Great location in downtown and views of the city from the patio at the roof and balcony to the street.

The pool walls were a bit slimy because of some algae growing up. The water was not crystal clear, but still ok. My family still enjoyed it. When I arrived, I was told at the reception that I needed to pay extra for a room with street views and balcony. The photos in Booking.com show the room that I booked with street views. This is a discrepancy. The room that I was offered first was smaller with not view to the city. I requested a change with sunlight at the room. The manager Amaury was great and he fixed it for us. He changed our room to one with street views and balcony at no extra charge. My family enjoyed the room that looked like in the advertised photos in Booking.com. We enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect close to main attractions, the room was big, the bed really comfortable and the staff friendly and attentive. The architecture of the hotel has the beauty of the past with modern decor.

I stay twice in two different rooms one night each time, the second room had a smell not sure what was the smell but was not very pleasant

very new and well located. Staff was very friendly and helpful. beds are super comfy and rooms are clean. definitely a very good choice to stay in the City centre, I would come back next time!

parking was unfortunately not available. a coffee machine in the room would be nice. windows can not be opened. water in the pool looked green, not inviting. but the terrace is very nice.

Maggie was so nice. The pool was close and i asked her if she could open it just so could take pictures and she did. I told her i needed a taxi at 430am and she ordered it called me 30 minutes before to make sure we didn't miss our flight. The front desk supper nice. Door men amazing.
