Hotel Plaza by Kavia

The room is big and very nice decorated, has a small fridge to keep your drinks cool, Location is great, we stayed 8 nights, pool is small, was just enough to have a cool down after a day trip in the surroundings of Merida, The personal was great and very helpful.

The hotel itself is very noisy, are 2 restaurants at the entrance as well the main hall is open all floors and you can listen every single noise. Our room was aside of reception and was extra noisy. Sundays the avenue Paseo Montejo is closed for sport activities and they started very early the sunday we were there at 4 am... with an extra loud music It was first scary then was annoying.

We had 2 problems The toilet didnt flush, and they couldnt repair it for one day Central ventillation (or maybe something else) caused terrible noise in the room untill 10 pm. Starting from 7 am. Long sleep was impossible

Nice modern Hotel in the center of Merida. Room was spacious, well designed and clean. AC is working very well, and the pool is relatively large. There's two nice restaurants directly next to the Hotel. A lot of sights in walking distance.

The hotel doesn't have "Do not Disturb" signs. So when I tried to sleep in after a long flight, I suddenly had a stranger (from housekeeping) standing next to my bed. Apparently the door lock also doesn't prevent them from entering! This is such a basic and standard thing that I really don't understand why this is happening. It can be a bit loud (large street in front of the Hotel and loud restaurants), but it was relatively quiet after 11:00pm.

I unfortunately was put in a room on the lower floor that slightly flooded when I took a shower. This was a room for those who have accessibility issues, I do not and am not wheelchair bound. I informed the staff at the front desk and asked for extra towels to clean the excess water. I was given extra towels and then offered as a solution towels for me to mop the water every time I took a shower, I declined as this is not what I paid for and was moved to a room on a higher floor. It would have been nice to have rooms facing the outside to have some natural light and if the coffee machine had sugar and milk available.

Very nice location, just in one of the best streets of Merida. Next to a very nice cafe and restaurant. The hotel is new and the rooms are very confortable. Be careful when you ask for a room because the rooms in the top floor suffer a lot from the noise coming from the restaurants nearby and does not let you sleep/ wakes you up.

The first nigth we had a room in the top floor and about 6 am in the morning we started listening to a very loud noise coming from the ventilation/fans of the kitchen of the restaurant just nearby. This affects 4 or 5 rooms. After complaining, we were moved to a room in a lower floor that was quiet. Be careful with this!

the property is well maintain is in paseo Montejo which by night is amazing to walk and get some snacks or a nice restaurant, this is a simple hotel you are just going to use to sleep, shower, don’t expect room service or something like that. is like 5 minutes to the center of town by car. close to everything, a big bonus , they had Netflix, prime , Disney plus to relax when you are tired of taking tours.

Everything was great! The room was exceptional, the location was ideal, and the staff was very accommodating. There was plenty to do and to eat within walking distance at any time of day.

We were located right next to the pool. While that might seem convenient, it attracts people who create a lot of noise. Mexico is known for siestas for good reason. Trying to take a nap during the peak of a hot day is a lot more difficult when there are kids playing right outside your door.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Plaza by Kavia. The hotel is very well located in the best zone of Merida - Paseo de Montejo. You may enjoy beatiful views from the terrace. Next doors are located an italian restaurant and a cafe. Within a couple minutes walk there are a lot of restaurants and bars. The hotel is new, rooms are spacious with nice new furniture, a small fridge, a huge TV, a safe, a hairdryer, and comfortable beds. Nice shower with hot water, wi-fi worked perfectly well which was important for me as I spent one day working. AC was great too. Everything worked as it should work. The staff is friendly and helpful. They considered my request and provided really quiet rooms. I didn't hear noice. I liked the cleaning staff which were efficient and really quiet in comparison with many other mexican hotels where cleaning may start at 7 in the morning with staff being very loud chatting and laughing at the doors. Highly recommended. I will definitely come back.

Note that if you arrive late as we did, thehotel parking may be full and you won't be able to park there even if in your reservation you make a note that you need a parking slot. At first my friend was unhappy about that, but the fact is that the area is quiet and secure, there are enough options for free parking very close to the hotel. We had no issue at all leaving the car in the street.

Everything! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped find a taxi driver to bring us to Uxmal, the chocolate museum and the cenote. It was basicly a private tour, but cheaper. The room was very spacious and clean. There is water and coffee every day. The room has a fridge, AC and a safe. The hotel is in a great location, about 1,5km from the center, but very near to bars and restaurants. They don't speak English, but do their best to translate with an app. Wifi works perfectly. We didn't use the pool, but it looked perfect for a refreshing dip in the water.

Nothing! Everything was perfect.

Very comfortable room and beds, it was very clean. You can find a coffee shop and Italian restaurant just under the street. The Internet was excellent. Car parking is 5mins by walking, it is like private so this option is very good. There were some problems: there was spiders in the room, there was a constant noise like a generator working, shower switches were too complicated.
