Portmans Motor Lodge

Date: 5-8th January 2024 Location was amazing, within walking distance to the main centre. Own parking space provided (bonus). We left our car parked up while we walked around town. Only used when we went to speedway & the Hastings market Love the open space & how you can sit outside the rooms (chairs provided) and enjoy the company with others. Bbq and pool on site. Kitchen facilities and laundry available to use. Comfy beds. The rooms are nice and cosy with an aircon and a fan available to use. Extra blankets and pillows were provided. The staff were amazing. Cheers to the weekend cleaners for doing an amazing job, need more friendly staff like you guys. Will definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks team for making our weekend stay a pleasant one 🫶🏽

Great for me Comfy bed Near to Town and close to Napier Easy parking Great WIFI Didn't wanna pay the prices in Napier, that's why i came to Hastings. (Art Deco Festival was during my stay) Great choice. Windows in bath, kitchen and bedroom

I could hear my neighbour snoring:-D For me it was not a problem, i could fell asleep without any problem Next to the street but this didn't bother me either. I left the windows open during the night, love that.

The rooms, kitchen and the bathroom were all clean and tidy. It had a lot of facilities too and the overall motel was nice. I was especially so happy about the motel being near the places we wanted to visit (Te Mata Peak and the Splash Planet).

I enjoyed my stay so there wasn't much that I disliked. Although one thing that I didn't like was that we booked 2 rooms and wanted them next to each other, but that wasn't the case. But it was still close so not too bad.

Very central and easy to find. Kind receptionist on arrival and when checking out. My children loved the pool. I enjoyed how it’s situated right in the middle of the accomodation. They also thought it was ‘fancy’ to get our breakfast brought to us in the morning, which was absolutely delish.

Unfortunately my neighbours (through the wall) were quiet loud. Talking and laughing with I could only assume guests as it sounded like more that two people. Once they left at 12am it was back to nice a quiet. The walls are thin. Also busy with traffic, cars coming and going during the night, obviously cause it was a Saturday night, maybe.

Our stay was amazing, the rooms were very spacious and they catered for my moko's ,who had their own locked off private play area. The staff were very friendly and approachable. It was close to town and BP was just across the road. We are definitely going back again next year. The breakfasts were very yum and filling as well as hot. Moko's loved the pool..

This was our second time staying there. Lovely place with everything we needed. Location is close to everything. The pool is a big plus which the family enjoyed. Overall, a great stay when in Hastings.

Nothing about the accommodation itself but some guests need to be a bit more discrete & remember their in public!

For a late check in & out absolutely outstanding. Hassle free, friendly host and staff that went the extra distance in turning heater on. Makes such a difference for travellers on a cold winter night. The most comfiest bed with an electric blanket which is rare nowadays. Free parks for every room is a big bonus. Can’t fault these guys. Definitely our choice of accommodation in Hastings. 😊

That I checked in too late to sample a wonderful breakfast that was cheap by today’s prices elsewhere.

Comfy bed. . An arm chair would have been nice Pleasant people who said to help yourself to the Mandarins. Don't get that very often

My room was very clean and cosy, the kitchenette plus hotplates sufficient, relaxing in the spa after travelling from Perth was superb. Very friendly and welcoming owners and staff. A safe environment. Close to city centre. I will definitely recommend Portmans Motor Lodge to family and friends.

Very tidy well kept motel, and room was perfect and very cosy was like home away from home, also super happy air con went to 16 as most motels we been to can't go lower than 18 hastings was very hot so was nice to go back to cool refreshing room end of day we will defintly be back when up them ways!
