The Nautilus

I was so grateful to find this apartment available after we realised at the last minute that there was a mix-up with the dates attending the Robbie concert. It met all our needs, a large king bed in the main room which also had settee and TV. Smaller bedroom with 2 singles, large bathroom with huge bath and shower. Kitchenette in corridor/galley leading to main room. View over marine parade, beach and sea, from main room.

Price was hyped due to the weekend and concert, but I was almost grateful for that, as that is probably why it was available.

The Nautilus is our absolute preferred accommodation in Napier - they have the most welcoming, caring hosts (who always have treats for my kids!), and the rooms are the best I have experienced: an extra pull-out double bed in the lounge (in addition to the queen and 2 x singles) if needed, a huge tv, and in the beautiful bathroom the largest indoor spa bath I have ever seen (which the kids go absolutely nuts over). Is also right across the road from the best park for kids in Napier, or a romantic stroll along the beach for adults. Also lots of great restaurants close by. Highly recommend for families!

Locations great. Beds are comfortable and it's clean and tidy

Weve stayed here before in a room with an actual view, this room didnt really have one, looked out onto side street, which was fine but the ridiculous amount it costs over labour weekend when you're not actually offering anything more than any other day or weekend, along with every other hotel/motel in the region.

This booking was very good for location, comfort and cleanliness. The view from the balcony was superb thanks. We enjoyed a flavoursome dinner from the in house restaurant. Well done chef and wait staff.

The only thing that could be looked at would be a lift for the second and Third floors. Although we were able to use the baggage lift luckily, it seemed old and I wondered about its safety inspections. Not having this would mean we would have to book elsewhere so we could get views.

Host were fabulous very helpful. When I explained my husband not a well man we would prefer bottom floor instead the 3rd floor the receptionist looked to see if any rooms was available without me asking but unfortunately there wasn't. It the thought that counted. Room was spectacular even tho our room faced the side street we still enjoyed the view. Breakfast was delicious & arrived at the scheduled time.

Bathroom tad narrow especially where the toilet was but otherwise it was fine.

The view was great and location is very central. Room is a little tired but clean and comfortable. Price was great and value for money. Would book again when next in Napier. We left a pillow in the room by mistake and when I called the staff member- Sarah was very helpful in arranging the return of this pillow

There was nothing that concerned us

Excellent location, beautiful big room. The bed was so comfy and the pillows were too👌 The restaurant was clean and tidy and the hostess in the restaurant was awesome, she was the only one working the floor, greating guests, taking orders bringing orders out getting drink orders out taking payment etc she did amazing and, I actually felt sorry for her at one stage because it was pretty packed.

Nothing, everything was great and well worth the cost!

Beautiful stay, room was immaculate, bathroom and spa bath was amazing. Location close to town, eateries and local store. View to the beach was on point.

No elevator. I was on the third floor and had just returned from the Rotorua Marathon looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay. I had to lug all my gear(and thy body) all the way up four flights of stairs to the third floor. This forced me to stay in the room most of the time.

This may sound like an over the top glowing review, which is not like me, but this place was really great. Room was fabulous, one large bed in main area and also large bed in bedroom. Photographs did not do it justice. Very clean. fantastic view of the ocean. super long balcony with bifold doors opening from bedroom and living room. Bathroom was spacious and had two wash basins. Laundry onsite even though this is not mentioned in description Reception communicated with the restaurant to keep it open for us because we arrived late. Restaurant maître de was very helpful and friendly and the chef accommodated our requests and was friendly when he walked through the restaurant. Reception staff were wonderful, efficient and courteous, cleaning staff were so helpful, and put aside items I had left behind. Would love to have stayed longer.

The room was great, overlooking the ocean and a well equipped kitchen for our needs. Easy walk into town down marine parade while enjoying the view.

Paid extra for breakfast, which wasn't provided by the hotel. Instead, it was at an Indian restaurant next door and was disappointing.
