Beaches Nelson

Th room was clean and cleaned every day. We asked for a quiet room and it was very quiet, we didn't hear any road noise at all. The hostess was lovely and was available at all times to answer any questions, and she was very helpful. It was a very handy location as we did some biking and walking, even walking to Nelson and back. Plenty of restaurants that are handy. We also did a lot of day tripping in the car and the room was our base. We did pay a little extra to have a separate bedroom from the lounge, which was a good move.

Friendly & helpful managers & cleaner! Unit was spacious with lovely décor. Everything we needed & more was provided, incl bottle of milk in fridge! Clean towels & tidy up of unit each day which was fab! A laundry was available at a small fee for washing & drying. And it isn't a huge block - good size - think 16 units. Our unit was on ground floor which helped - no dragging suitcases up the steps!

Just found our lounge area a bit dark as we were at back of block - but it was quieter as front units face a very busy road.

The room was exceptionally tidy and well-presented, very clean and tidy, and the bed was big and comfortable. We could choose our room upstairs facing the road, which the owner told us would be noisy, or downstairs at the back of the complex. We chose the upstairs room as it had a nice and sunny view.

The room was noisy. We heard everything from the wheelie bins being brought in to every car and even the wheelie bin truck. You couldn't have the windows or doors open anytime during the day or night,

This hotel was an awesome experience and stay for my girlfriend and me. The host/owner was a lovely woman with an energetic personality and she greeted us with amazing exuberance upon arrival. She even showed us to an alternate room for a free upgrade due to the fact they were not fully booked for the night. Can't say enough about how wonderful she was. She also provided us with a list of great recommendations for food and pubs around the area. As for the room and overall ambience of the accommodation it is a great operation they have going there. Ultra clean rooms, homey vibes, and just a nice spot to relax. We stayed there two nights and could have easily extended our stay if not for being on a tight timeline. Highly recommend this spot!

Well appointed units, very clean, modern with all the amenities you could want. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony for afternoon drinks when the weather allowed. The spa bath was a bonus as was having Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV which came in handy on the few rainy days. Mark was extremely hospitable and helpful throughout our stay with little tips for things to do. Excellent location with a very short walking distance to a variety of takeaways, restaurants, bars and of course the beach! We will definitely stay again on future trips to Nelson, couldn’t fault anything about our stay (well apart from slightly noisy neighbours in a house up the back but that was outside of anyone’s control 🤣).

We stayed in Nelson for four days and at Beaches for three nights. We selected Beaches as closer to the Tahunanui Beach and were not disappointed. The facility is very clean and rooms comfortable and well stocked. Initially the traffic sounds in our second floor room were a concern but were greatly reduced by heavy sliding doors and curtains. The management of Beaches is exceptional. Jackie and her partner Glenn are very friendly and within a few minutes you feel like family. Both are helpful in suggesting local places to see and dining opportunities. We were kindly offered rides to/from the airport as well as local sites if we needed. Taxi availability in Nelson is poor. Jackie really made this trip special for us.

The facility is on Highway 6 which is the major road to and from Nelson. It is used for heavy (logging) commercial traffic as well as local traffic.

Where do we start! Well travelled so recognise exceptional value for $$ when we experience it!! Notably Warm on arrival!! Seperate bedroom Big spa bath comfy bed Netflix on main t.v, tv in bedroom. Had Real milk in fridge in a glass bottle, gladwrap scissors flyspray all those things you always need but are never there! Loved the NOT white towels! Anyone with coloured hair makeup or tan lotion would! Handy bathroom extras Plus Pristine room service! Had own outdoor area. Spacious carpark

We did not receive notification re the use of Sky TV. If one needs to have your own sky contacts to use it then this should be stated. As followers of tennis we were disappointed to not be able to view this sport. Also, the front room where we stayed is so close to the main road the noise is horrendous. Very early wake up call by the traffic volume day and night.

Owners were Amazing, I can't find fault with Beaches at all and generally speaking I'm very Direct an Brutally Honest especially in my Reviews on Booking.com and as a Local Guide on Google. I was Amazed that another occupant in a room downstairs gave up their room for us! Myself and my Elderly Mother whom can't do stairs anymore, So we were extremely Grateful to the Lady who swapped with us no issues whatsoever even going so far as to offer any other help that I may of required. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and how comfortable it was so yes we will be back in the future, Noise was very minimal I hardly heard from other guests or the road for that matter. All in all I %110 Recommend staying at Beaches Motel, It is extremely close to Mc Donald's, KFC, Various other Eateries and the Local Pub, everything is within walking distance including the Beach.

Beaches Nelson is a great location in Tahunanui, super handy to the beach and sports playing grounds. Really helpful proprietors, going above and beyond to help out. The room was really comfortable, lovely big couch for relaxing after a long day on the sports field. Very close to some wonderful waterfront restaurants. And only 5 mins into Nelson centre. The rooms were amongst the cleanest I have experienced in a property this age. Delighted to see they use chemical-free cleaning and so there were no nasty lingering chemical or bleachy smells. This was such a treat as our home is also chemical-free, it just made the place so comfortable and relaxing.
