Parkside Motel

Very helpful staff, nice comfortable bed. Happy to facilitate our late check in as we were out enjoying our time in the west coast. It is a very good social environment at this lodge or you can be more private if you wish. Great place for younger people traveling nz

Kitchen taps were Luke warm at there hottest. Not a big deal, but I like hot water when doing dishes, soup etc was provided so it's still okay and I used the jug to make the water in the sink hotter. Honestly just picking at straws here, really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

Very friendly and helpful staff member who showed us how to use the laundry facilities (price was very reasonable too). The pool area is lovely, our apartment was spacious and very clean. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony, in the sun and watching the planes fly overhead.

Only a minor thing, but the motel is on a very busy main road and it always took us a while to get out of the driveway.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Although we were on a busy road, we didn’t hear traffic noise. The pool looked inviting though we didn’t have time to enjoy it. The motel backed up to a soccer field and the great taste trail which gave us a lovely morning walk. The manager provided us with fresh milk for our coffee in the morning.

The place is relaxing and convenient. Clean and equipped with the things you need when you are far away from home. The staff and owners of the accommodation are approachable and friendly, giving us a warm welcome upon check in. Highly recommended, giving overall excellent service.

Very clean and the property is clearly well maintained. Laundry facilities were useful and the pool was nice. The room was very spacious and we had a lovely little terrace area so could enjoy sitting outside in the gardens. Very friendly and helpful people too.

The beds were very comfortable. Being on the ground floor we walked out to the pool and also were beside sports fields we could walk through a gat too and kick a ball around. Fantastic for young and older families.

Great amenities, shower was brilliant. Bed was very comfy, we both had a good sleep. The bedroom Aircon was a welcome addition, with the hot nights it made all the difference.

Only downside was the couch wasn't real comfortable, but being a sofabed that was understandable. On our second night we almost had no car park as we returned alittle later in the evening & they were all taken except 1 right in the back, designated parks for each unit would be a big help.

This property is right on Hwy. 6 and some industrial areas near by. Traffic noise with big trucks is quite loud going into the night and starting early again in am.

Our family have agreed that this has been one of the best places we have ever stayed. We particularly liked the facilities (the pool did it for the kids!), but we cant say enough about the genuine hosts- they were incredibly accommodating, were so friendly, and absolutely made our stay one to remember. We stayed for over a week, and could have stayed much longer. It was so clean, quiet, and well maintained. A highly recommended place for families. When in Nelson, we will be back.

The pool was an awesome extra to have and was very well used! The apartment was a good size for a family of 5 and despite the Highway next to us you couldn’t hear much of the noise at all

Hard to find things but if I was super picky I would say the living room sofas were very very soft. Not really something that is a game changer though
