Palms Motel

Great location, friendly staff, nice rooms work mini kitchen and fridge. Very happy with my stay?

Only things I ding it for is wifi was annoying - no password but you had to click agree on a sign in page. But it would kick you off every few hours and you'd have to do it again. Much simpler just to have a password. And the pillows were a bit too thick and dense for me, but that's personal preference. Those two minor things would take it from 8 to 9 for me.

This is a sweet little motel close to downtown. Easy walking, right accross the street from the grocery store. The owner lives on the property and it feels really friendly. The room was very nice. It isn't huge but plenty. The kitchen is small but we cooked breakfast easily and three were in the room. I would totally stay here again. A really nice touch was that when we checked in they gave us a bottle of milk for our coffee. It was a sweet detail. Robyn was the manager and she was hilarious!

The unit had a comfortable sofa and recliner and the bedroom was nice and quiet (unless someone used a tap, the hot water cylinder was a little noisy, we had family staying in the room beneath us and they could hear it whenever we used the water). I loved their shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser so much that I bought some before we left.

The bed was a little firm for us. The hot water cylinder also made a lot of noise every time we used a tap.

We arrived early before check in and the receptionist was kind enough to store our diary items in their fridge until check in. We didn’t spend a huge amount on time here but loved being able to park directly outside our room and have easy access. Location is great and we slept well on the beds so comfy for sure.

Pool was closed which was a shame even though the times said it would open but not a huge complaint just would have been nice.

Our unit was clean, comfortable, quiet and well maintained. It is ideally located to either walk around the city or to walk along the river towards the mountains (highly recommended). The staff were friendly and very accommodating; nothing was too much trouble for them in terms of making sure we were happy. The property was an excellent choice for our 3 night stay.

Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Great facilities, location and overall service. I really appreciate 'easy' when traveling and I found everything from check in to check out (and after as we left some luggage) to be very easy. We'll be back next time we're in Nelson.

Nothing that I didn't like.

Was near the Port which had lots of restaurants nearby. Supermarket over the road and a few blocks to shopping centre. Room for parking our rental car. Room was cleaned daily and the lounge was quite large with reclining seating.

The Motel was mostly full and sometimes we heard other people making noise. Nothing too serious

it was spacious, had cooking facilities and laundry with an ice maker! walking distance to shops and restaurants, short drive to tahuna beach

I didn’t dislike anything about the property at all. but the upstairs neighbours left ash all over my car and smoke butts all around it even though the units were non-smoking areas!! rude.

The staff were very friendly and helpful when they found we had left clothes in the cupboard. they parceled them up and send them by courier to our hotel in Christchurch (at our cost of course)

Looking out onto the carpark was a bit disappointing at first but the upside was there was easy access for baggage. And in fact in the end it didn't matter to us anyway.

The room was very modern, clean and extremely comfortable beds. It was very close to the supermarket which was handy and easily able to walk into the CBD and botanical gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The mini kitchen was well stocked too
