Durham Court Motor Inn

We would like to share our incredible experience with Durham Court Motor Inn. The location was absolutely perfect, with fantastic restaurants located in nearby downtown and the stunning Waterfront - just a stone's throw away. Furthermore, the room was impeccably serviced each day by the most accommodating staff members, who demonstrated great flexibility to ensure we could continue watching the Rugby semi-finals. Thank you to everyone involved for making our stay truly unforgettable. We are definitely planning to visit again next year and can't wait to experience the outstanding service once more.

Friendly Receptionist at check in, she quickly got our room keys sorted and was helpful. All units are on ground level which was great, there was a sitting area with a tables under a shaded area directly outside each unit it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy some refreshments. There was a lovely pool area too, but sadly were were not staying longer to enjoy this facility looked incredibly inviting, as the weather was muggy.

We were like 80% of the guests there to attend a music concert a two minute walk from the hotel, The concert ended at 9pm, on our return we with a few of the other guests decided to have a few drinks together and talk about how good the bands were, when the night manager approached us and requested we stop as we maybe upsetting our neighbors, however we had asked the neighbors if they would mind or like to join us, so we all decided to leave and walk to town bars. We felt a little saddened from being treated like naughty teenagers. (aged from 35 - 53yrs) The neighbors were also a little taken aback by the night managers reaction.

Very clean, generous sized room for 2 adults and 1 child, well equipped (kitchenette had everything we needed, didn't use the cooking facillities), air conditioning, SkyTV, generous extra amenties such as coffee, hot chocolate, tea, soaps, shampoo and towerls, and wonderful staff. Location was handy to waterfront and short drive to the Mount. The multiple wide windows lit up the room well which did not make it feel like a dark motel.

We could hear voices from the back (I think there is another area at the rear). Not loud enough to disturb us though.

Very clean and modern with above average kitchen facilities and utensils. We were able to get trim milk for our tea and coffee, both were top brands, much appreciated. We both agreed that the bed linen was definitely the best we've experienced in quite a while.

The street cleaners do start their job quite early, so can disrupt your sleep, best to close street side windows. A tea towel would have been handy, probably just an oversight. I was concerned about marking the tables with my hot mug so used a plate, I think a few coasters would be a great idea.

Spacious and exceptionally clean. Great kitchen facilities. Everything looked new. Had everything we required. Staff were great. Lovely smelling reception area which made you feel comfortable as soon as you arrived. Clean and warm. Great air conditioning unit in. I would definitely stay again. Great location and best motel I've ever stayed in.

Great and easy parking. If you had a big car may find it a little tight although plenty of parks on the road too. Windows were open when we arrived. Some of them were a little difficult to shut especially if you were elderly.

Good location, clean and modern facilities. Spacious room and living area. Very clean and all facilities working and in good order. Good value for money for the location when comparing to other options available.

The only thing I didn't like was the area outside the room when arriving. Designed for smokers with ash trays everywhere and messy. Would be great to get rid of alltogether and not cigarette smoke wofting in through the open windows which were difficult to close. Apart from that, everything else is perfect.

The host was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very tidy and warm. The bathroom was very tidy and shower has good pressure. The place was very convenient for us and close to my family. Good and safe carpark for our car. It was the second time we stayed here and the best out of the other motels we stayed with previously in Tauranga. We will definitely go back again when we visit family. Will recommend to relations and friends,

The room was good for what I needed for one night, nice and tidy with a comfortable bed. A nice, friendly welcome when I arrived. The location was also brilliant, super central to the CBD and not far to drive to access the highways heading towards both the Mount and Auckland. With limited accommodation options available when I booked, I'm glad I chose to book here.

Nothing really, the price was a bit on the higher side for what I'd usually pay for this type of room, but I also get that Tauranga is a relatively high cost place to live and operate a business, and the motel's location is premium.

The unit was well appointed, spacious and comfortable, with a separate bedroom as well as a single daybed in the main room. The bathroom had a large bathtub which I didn't need but which would be appreciated on another occasion. The shower was superb. The TV selection was great, too.

On a chilly night, the bedroom would have benefited from a separate heater, especially as the heat pump blew away from it. And for late night viewing, another TV in the bedroom would be a great touch.

We have stayed in lots of motels in many countries and the Durham Court Motor Inn is one of the best we have stayed at. The room is large, spotlessly clean and the warm towel rail was a plus. They were also very generous with the tea and coffee bags unlike others who provided only 2 or 3. Being able to park our car right by the front door and walk to so many restaurants was also great.
