Koura Lodge

The staff were friendly and the lodge was situated ideally on the edge of the lake. Our room was behind the lodge but we still had a lake view. The breakfast was delicious and our hosts were very accommodating.

The room facilities were quite dated and the property needed quite a bit of maintenance as in the grounds and driveway. I think there was only a couple managing the lodge so extra staff (which is had to find at the moment) would have helped. Better signing would also be good as it was quite hard to identify from the road.

Great location right onto the lake. Surprisingly we had the use of kayaks and jacuzzi on the shore line. After a day of sightseeing the jacuzzi was just what we needed. We had the use of a shared kitchen which meant we could top up with extra tea bags and also store some food items. The staff were outstanding and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast. They even had Gluten free bread for my partner. Nice wide choice of breakfast options and fresh coffee.

One of the two best properties we have stayed in while we've been in New Zealand (20 to date). From the check in to checkout everything was perfect and Simon in particular went to great lengths to ensure we were totally satisfied. Rooms were well equipped, clean with comfortable beds, the breakfast was superb and the other facilities (sauna, hot tub and kayaks were in good condition. If I return to Rotorua I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Nice quiet location on the lake. Easy drive to the city centre. Spa pool and sauna in a great spot right on the water. The shared lounge area had a great fireplace with a wonderful view. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

No comfortable chairs in the shared lounge area. Just the table chairs. This is an opportunity to make it a nice congregation point, where you could relax around the fire place. Spa pool and sauna weren’t hot enough when I tried them, but there was a bit of a glitch with it.

1. Staff - Arun and Sheryl were great, they were patient, attentive and friendly. 2. Location - Near to the shopping area in rotorua, has plenty of food options, supermarket is close by and is also close to activities like luge and maori cultural show. 3. Accommodation - Right by the lake (literally outside our room), has a sauna and hot tub that faces the lake. i even made friends with some black swans. Very quiet and peaceful stay. 4. Food - Breakfast was perfect for all the 3 days of my stay. Arun is a good cook, the poach eggs were perfect, much better than some cafe.

The place is the BEST. Best location, right on the lake with the hot tub and sauna looking over the water. The room was really comfortable and felt really private with a gorgeous view. The bathroom had both a shower and a spa bath. Breakfast is provided, in our case we were very lucky and had ours made to order. A big thanks to the manager who was so lovely and made our stay feel very special.

Fantastic location, great facilities and the staff are incredible! I stayed with my girlfriend and we had to change plans at short notice due to work commitments and leave earlier than anticipated. When we checked with the staff what do at checkout they made sure we had breakfast and coffee before our drive home before breakfast was due to start. I honestly can't fault this place!

The Service was amazing, They made sure I had everything my partner and myself needed. My favourite was the spa right in front of the lake! We went for a midnight soak and it was absolutely stunning, We could see all the lights in the area and also the spa lit up itself😁 Definitely need to do the kayaks next time.

The entrance was a bit tight but as we came at a good time no issues getting on to the property.

The lodge is situated right on the shore of the lake, with a little private peer to bask in the natural beauty of the surroundings. What's more, there is a hot tub and a sauna on the peer, allowing for wonderful relaxation by the lakeside, especially in the evenings. The lodge itself is set up in a very cozy and warm way, making the overall stay very relaxing. Definitely worth the price.

This lodge was secluded on the most beautiful property. It is not too far from the city center but far enough that you feel like you've escaped all of the high tourist areas. It had private access to the lake (complete with kayaks, a dock, and a hot tub over looking the water). The breakfast in the morning was included and was incredible! We were so impressed with the helpfulness and kindness of the staff. We wished we had been able to stay longer.

Room was very basic but was clean and sufficient
