Hotel Casa Do Outeiro

Very nice room, the view to the monastery especially in the evening or night is awesome. The breakfast is very good, with quality coffee and my wife loved the croissants :-) The staff team was very kind and helpful and recommended restaurants for dinner and other topics. There are a lot of restaurants in walking distance (10-15 min), we can recommend the Burro Velho. Also a supermarket (SPAR or Intermarchè) is not far away. Parking places directly on the hotel are not so much, but there is a parking lot directly nearby where it is no problem to get one place. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely recommend.

Lovely patio with a stunning view over the monastery. The room was spacious enough for a two-night stay and the bed was very comfortable. Exceptionally friendly staff and people we encountered in town! Great place to stay for one or two nights to explore the surroundings.

Although we were not there to watch TV, and understandably we are in a Portuguese country, at least one English TV channel would be nice. Milk in the mini bar fridge would also be appreciated. Breakfast was average, not fantastic, with a bit of limited variety, but also what is expected considering the room rate. Also, really looked forward to a warm indoor pool, which was not as warm as we would have liked.

This was a lovely, clean and comfortable family run hotel. It's clear that the owners take alot of pride in what they offer. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool was lovely, the breakfast was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. There is even an area where they highlight the work of local artisans. The restaurant recommendation turned out to be one of the best meals we had during our 3 weeks in Portugal. Overall, the hotel made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Could not have asked for more.

Such friendly welcoming family and staff. A very relaxing feel as soon as you walk in the door. Fabulous view from the 5th floor rooms. A comfortable room with most things that you might need have been hought of. A sweet guest lounge with a good range of drinks and snacks on an honesty basis. Lovely pools, even the outside one in October! We even played pool - in the basement room next to the children's playroom. Nice breakfast with a good selection of fresh products I honestly can think of nothing that you should improve. Loved it!

First of all, I would like to note the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff. We felt very welcome and even got a room with a great view of the city's unique monastery. The hotel is very interestingly decorated and even has its own store. We are very glad we stayed here for one night and grateful for the warm welcome! We wish them further prosperity!

The hotel was perfectly located both in the town and for visiting surrounding attractions. The staff were all delightful and very friendly and helpful. We didn't use any of the facilities but they all looked great. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was great value for money. Would highly recommend.

Friendly reception, comfortable and clean room, heated indoor pool, well maintained outdoor pool and very good breakfast. Also booked a massage on site which was very good.

The staff was incredible, very friendly and helpful. We had a great room with a beautiful view, the breakfast was great and they also had a self-service-bar: Please try the ice cream.

Nothing I would complain about. (There are not too many parking lots in front of the hotel - but very nearby. We didn't mind to walk the 100m)

- The staff is very nice and always available. - The indoor pool, which is available by one hour periods reservation due to covid restrictions, is perfect to relax. - There are several pillows available in the room that you can choose from to suit your sleeping preference, which is a very thoughtful detail.

We loved our stay and these remarks are based on our personal preferences and did not affect our enjoyment of this lovely place: - Smallest room I've ever stayed in. - Room with low privacy considering that people entering and leaving the reception had a full view to the room which required to have the blackout curtains always closed.

We were immediately made to feel welcome in this charming property, only a stone's throw away from the main attraction in Batalha, the stunning monastery, which we could see from our room balcony. The surrounding area is very quiet and residential, so it is usually not difficult to park your car if you do not wish to make use of the hotel car park, and there are quite a few bars and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was excellent and rather well organised! There are two swimming pools, but we did not have the time to try them, as we wanted to explore the region: there are many interesting places to visit (Porto de Mós, Leiria, Alcobaça, Nazaré, the serras de Aire e Candeeiros, etc.), and most can be reached by car in under 30 minutes...

The room could have been a bit bigger, but it was perfectly okay for a two-night stay, and I should add we did not bother to place all our items in the wardrobe as we were too keen to go out and explore; I am sure other people would have done a much better job...
