Quinta da Vinha Morta0

The quinta is in a beautiful setting with lovely grounds. The room was clean, comfortable and very spacious. It had patio doors out onto the garden - great to sit out in the mornings before breakfast. Cindy is very warm and friendly and a terrific cook - I definitely recommend having at least one evening meal here. There was also a great spread for breakfast including home made jam and good coffee.

As a tall person, the only thing I wasn't so keen on was the wooden end to the bed but this is very minor and I found the accommodation generally very comfortable.

Our host Cindy was amazing, she made every effort to make us feel at home, and went beyond with helping us ironing shirts for the wedding ceremony. She was so kind to prepare a hot chocolate for my 3 years old, gave her own son's toy to keep him entertained. Really touching, and made our stay unforgettable. :) THANK YOU!

Great location, beautiful swimming pool, gardens and house. Convenient parking really close to the house. Amazing dinner and breakfast, we ate grilled Dourada for dinner and it was much better than I've eaten in some restaurants next to the sea. Above all the familial welcome by the hosts made us feel completely at home and they tried to accommodate every demand we had because of staying with a small baby (keeping things in the fridge, boiler for hot water...).

Mattress could be more confortable

Very nice Quinta, run by a very friendly family. We really enjoyed our stay! There are only 7 rooms, so the experience is semi-private. At the nearby town, there is a great restaurant called Casa do Eira. The breakfast and dinner which are prepared by the host of the Quinta are also a great experience!

The (family)room is a bit basic and can use an upgrade to better match the rest of this fabulous accommodation.

The hosts were so great, really! we had such a pleasant stay! It was all very clean, big room, amazing garden and pool The breakfast was basic but all we needed. We definitely recommend!

It is a little off the douro river, but a very sweet village! There is no supermarket in the village, only 10-15 min drive, so if you want anything just make sure to buy in advance.

Breakfast: A pretty good morning meal with several types of bread, cakes, homemade jams and a good quality Ham. Pool: It was closed because, we were already in Autumn and as an outdoor pool, there was no chance to enjoy it. In summer I believe it will be a plus.

Fantastic location and facilities

The property is nice and spatious, the pool and garden are a pleasant place to relax. The room was a really good size, and we certainly welcomed the mosquito screens in the window! No A/C, but a fan was provided which was more than enough to cool the room down in the evening. Good breakfast!

Very nice family owned hotel. Excellent home made breakfast and dinner (dinner needs to be reserved in advance). Very fair pricing. Nice location with pool and garden. Very helpful and friendly owners. Warm welcome. Parking available on premises. We highly recommend and would always come back.
