NEYA Porto Hotel

Scandinavian inspired modern designs. Clean comfortable, upgraded to river view. Excellent breakfasts. Location was about a 10 minute riverside walk to the heart of the Riviera. Also had a small but nice clean gym.

Didn't get a particularly friendly vibe from staff.

Location was excellent with a bonus of looking out onto the river. Room was modern, clean and bed was comfortable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The bar was a roof top bar so you could sit outside if you wanted (it was a bit cold but I'm sure it would be great if the weather was warmer). All the staff were helpful and attentive. A couple of hours after we arrived someone brought us a plate of Pasteis de Nata (custard tarts) and a bottle of water to our room and a welcome note, which was a lovely touch.

The hot part of the breakfast could have been hotter.

Very nice hotel, good location close to the river in the lower part of Porto. The hotel is very nice and clean. The room was comfortable with a big bathroom. The window was facing a cloister that is internal to the hotel, very nice setting. The hotel has also a rooftop bar with a view on the river.

Quite expensive for being in Portugal, but there were no nice alternatives in the surroundings when I booked (I was traveling for a conference). The breakfast (not included in my reservation) was also expensive.

Good looking hotel on the water Room was good, breakfast was good.

Parking being pricey for a hotel that's already pricey us not cool. I've stayed in higher end hotels and parking was complimentary. I don't appreciate being nickel and dimed. Also the reception staff is a bit too casual. One guy was going into some personal stories for over 5 min while I was waiting g to check in. He saw me there but just kept talking about places he liked in Porto. It felt unprofessional

The architecture of the hotel is really nice and inspirering. We also loved the rooftop with the small bar and teracce. We had a room facing the backyard which was really silent and made us perfectly relaxed. The view from the breakfast room facing the Douro is increadible.

The hotel doesn't have a warm atmosphere, they are using much stone and it was a bit cold when we traveled in January. Also we have been aware about the location, however I want to mention that it is really a walk to the center and back.

The situation of the hotel is good. Views over the river and when you have a room in the front lovely views on the river and the other site of Porto. Before the hotel was a monastery and they build it very nice to a hotel. Inside there is a sort of garden with nice seats and overlooking some walls of the monastery. The rooms are good. Nice beds. At the balcony where no chairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you can not sit on it. We ask for chairs but that was not possible. The shower is hot or not 🥵. Difficult to do. But when you notice that good to wash. The breakfast is very good. The waitress doesn’t understand you all the time so it can be difficult to ask for a hot boiled egg. The coffee machine is often out of order so that you must wait a long time at the other one. The reception is 24 hours. They are kind but not interested. When you ask for something on the room it can be that they forget or They don’t know.

The views from the Fantastic location on the river Doura. modern, clean rooms, excellent breakfast and lovely staff. Rooftop bar and furnishings are beautiful. The hotel offered a very reasonable Airport transfer taxi company by email a couple of days before arriving that we paid for and booked in advance, they collected us from the airport and gave us lots of info about the local area and how to enjoy it. we would definitely recommend taking this option.

The room was clean and the beds really comfortable. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The bathroom was nice although it took a while to get used to the glass door to the room.

Although the Reception staff were great, this could not be said for the catering staff. They were miserable, unhelpful and couldnt be bothered to serve its customers. There were 4 items on the 'special' festival menu but 2 of them were off. The wait for food was far too long and it arrived cold.

Lovely hotel overlooking the river. Close to town centre but in a quieter location, approx. 10 minutes walk. Buffet style breakfast which was kept well topped up. Quality and range of food was good. Roof top bar had lovely views, ideal to relax in.

Restaurant and bar staff were very friendly but staff on reception were less so.

Was in a good location. Roomsare clean and comfortable and very quiet. Lovely view from the roof top terrace. Easy walking distance to everywhere we wanted to get to. they also have a massage cushion in the room which was an unexpected treat.

Compared to other bars and restaurants in the area I found the cost of drinks in the bar a bit on the steep side, but staff were friendly and we had a great view.
