Breakfast was good.

The Bedroom Door kept making a rattle noise, every time they open the front door. Room 001 The curtain at the window, the cord was not working and i was unable to close the curtain fully. I let the front desk know the first day I arrived. He told me that was going to take care of it. Unfortunately that never happened during my 10 day stay. Staff very cold. Except a couple of them. Young gentleman at the front desk, in late shift, the other from the Restaurant low thirties. Very disappointed.

Very modern property, nice atmosphere around the pool area, with most rooms facing it. Good sized bedrooms and bathrooms, very clean and modern. Friendly staff. The location is not the best as it is not on the city center, but it’s a short drive away, and very easy to get there from the highway. Very nice and complete breakfast! Dinner is also served in the hotel restaurant and we enjoyed it!

When we arrived the staff informed us the pool was not available to use, although the weather was good enough to enjoy it. However on the second day of our stay, they told us we could already use it, which was nice despite the water being freezing!!

Beautiful and calm atmosphere. Lovely, quiet property, yet can walk to town easily. The breakfast was the best we had in Portugal. Lots of options, including a custom-made omelet and the view from the dining room of the trees was a peaceful environment. The staff in the breakfast room were also very kind and helpful. Bruno at the front desk welcomed us warmly and was a wealth of information in recommendations for dinner and hikes in the area. Bruno was always joyful and clearly loved helping guests. A great manager for the hotel.

Need a few more places in the room to hang/store clothes.

The room was spacious and very modern. The space was very calm and relaxing just what you want for a holiday with local amenities close by. Didn’t try the spa as the weather was good enough to keep us outside enjoying the outdoor pool. A lot of available and discreet car park.

For me it was perfect however my British partner liked it but did say he would like more range on the cooked breakfast ( I don’t agree with his point considering he’s not in the UK and we don’t really have a cooked breakfast in Europe)

We had a great time. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home at all times. The room was very nice, above our expectations and pristine clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The swimming pool was nicely sized. The best was the food in the restaurant - we had dinner and it was definitely excellent quality for a reasonable price.

The stay was great but the room would benefit of a full body size mirror and the swimming pool area could have more chairs. The hotel would also benefit of an experienced garden designer to create a more private hotel (e.g. tall trees around the property) and intimate and welcoming areas around the garden, with more shade for the guests.

The room is spacious and very comfortable. The food was also good, we had dinner to celebrate an anniversary. My partner bought the romantic package and we had a flower bouquet, champagne and strawberries with chocolate waiting for us in the bedroom. They also brought two cocktails after. My partner was expecting also flower petals throughout the room but we didn’t have that.

Hotel is compoud by very nice buildings (old and new). Rooms were very comfortable, bathrooms were beautiful and confortable. Swiming pool area is nice. Breakfast is good. Hotel is well located.

Despite good quality of the breakfast hotel staff hasn't managed properly people coming in and our from food area, a bit confusing. Staff is not very friendly comparing to staff of several bars and restaurants close by. WI-FI has a very poor quality, doesn't work the majority of the time, it's impossible to get WI-FI at swiming pool area, we booked 2 rooms and in one of them it was impossible to connect to WI-FI.

Great hotel in Vila Real, at the edge of the city. Excellent room, bed, perfectly clean sheets an towels, changed every day, very rich breakfast. It is a great starting point to explore Douro Valley, to take a boat in Pinhao, visit a vinery/quinta, National Park Geres and beautifull city Braga. The pool in the yard is super clean and enjoyable after hiking arround.

Great hotel! Friendly staff Beautiful relaxing facility. Great place to take a vacation break or base your Douro stay. Dining on site was nice Sparkling outdoor pool with nice loungers. Spa for very low add on price has sauna, steam & indoor pool that overlooks the outdoor green space. Comfy well designed common areas too Free parking is easy, its dedicated to hotel. Highly recommend! I'd love to stay here again .

It was unique staying in a mansion that had the several additions making it more into a hotel. It is in an the top of the town but still walkable to the city center, we did a causal walk and it took maybe 20th minutes to get to.

We were unable to turn the a/c on in the middle of the night, making it hard to get a good nights rest. the bed was uncomfortable and even with the window open we were too hot.
