ibis Styles Geneve Palexpo Aeroport

Great location with the hotel being super close to the airport and easy transport to the rest of Geneva (hotel gave us free transport cards which was wonderful). The staff was really friendly, the free breakfast was plentiful, and the room was very comfortable with daily cleaning.

The bathroom showers are little inconvenient/creates a bit of a watery mess due to there not being any shower doors (it’s a more modern, minimalistic style of the glass barrier only covering the shower area half-way). This is not a big deal and wouldn’t stop me from staying here again necessarily. I was able to figure out a way to minimize the amount of water getting on the bathroom floor.

It was my fifth stay. When I come to Geneva, this hotel offers almost the best cost/comfort ratio and a great travel and public transport connection with late/early flights or meetings at the Palexpo, UN or CICG. Very good breakfast! The equipment in the room - especially for storing the clothes could be improved, but the bed is very comfortable.

This time roadworks starting at 10 pm and finishing in the middle of the night were not ideal - my window was right above the workers station so they woke me up several nights... I hope they are gone next time I am in Geneva...

The rooms were clean. They were close together as we asked. The staff were helpful, and check in was quick and easy. Access to the city centre by bus was quick and simple which made for a nice night out.

The transfer from the train station at the airport was difficult as the bus stop to use at the airport was not clear so we ended up going the wrong way to start, the stop to get off at was also not clear (the bus missed the original stop), and then it was not obvious how to walk to the hotel. By constrast the trip from the hotel to the airport by bus was very easy!

Location, excellent staff

I booked at the Styles, I was traveling from Bangok via Vienna arriving late and informed for a 2200 hrs check in.I prepaid for the whole stay. The Vienna flight leg was delayed by 2 hours so I checked in after midnight to find that my room had been given away. I was transport to the Novotel, which I declined, reception found a room next door for the initial night at the Ibis Budget and 1 star hotel. The only compensation offered was a free continental breakfast.

Great location, very close to the airport and only one bus ride away from central Geneva. Small tip: from the airport take the bus 5, only 2 stops to the hotel, it’s a lot easier on the bus with luggage instead of walking. This same bus can also take you into central Geneva. We stayed for 5 days and it was a great stay, there aren’t really activities to do inside the hotel but nonetheless it was still a good stay.

There is an additional daily charge that you will need to pay upon arrival at the hotel. This charge is around 3.75 Swiss francs per person, for every day that you stay at the hotel. This was a bit of a shock at first as we were not expecting the additional charge. 19 Swiss francs per person, per day for breakfast is a bit of a bump and we ended up not having breakfast in the hotel, but other than that it was a great hotel.

This is my third visit to Geneva in 18 months. On the two previous occasions I have stayed in luxury hotels in central Geneva. They were absolutely lovely so I had some reservations about staying in this hotel, (not central, not 5* and so close to the airport) in order to be nearer family I was visiting. However, I need not have worried all. This hotel is superb. Very clean, room quiet in spite of proximity to the airport, lovely rainfall shower, comfy bed, a lovely cafe/bar open 24 hours a day and simply the best staff you could possibly meet. They were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They really made this feel like a home from home. The cafe is a lovely place to relax and is even used by people not staying at the hotel. A bus stops right outside the hotel which goes into central Geneva in 20 mins and to the airport in 5. I used it to go into Geneva a couple of times. It is very frequent and you get a free transport pass from the hotel so it costs nothing. If you are looking for a clean, reasonably priced hotel with lovely staff, good facilities and good transport links then I can't recommend the Ibis Styles enough. I'll certainly be back on my next visit later this year. Thanks to all the staff for helping to make my visit so enjoyable.

They might want to consider putting tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. For me it was nice to go down to the cafe so I didn't mind but the person I travelled with would certainly have liked to be able to make themselves a drink in their room early morning or just before bed. This is just a suggestion rather than a criticism.

Very close to the airport, bus station is 20 m from hotel, few grocery stores around. Good sound isolation in rooms, despite planes take off every 10 min this almost does not bother. Room was cleaned every day. Be aware there is one socket in room for standard European plug, all others are for Swiss plugs (3 holes, trapezoid shape).

No kettle in the room and no coolers on the floors, so boiled water only available at bar.

The hotel staff were fantastic. All really friendly and always happy to help. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from GVA airport and a 30 minute bus into town, with the stop about a 5 minute walk away, so very convenient. The breakfast selection was great, and I always left feeling satisfied. The room was a good size for just me, but I think still comfortable for an extra person; adequate storage and space under the bed to keep my suitcase out of the way.

Although the room was clean, being on the road/airport side of the hotel, the smell of fumes did find its way in unfortunately, even with the window being closed. This was only particularly strong on one morning, so not enough for me to request a room change, which I'm sure the staff would have been happy to accommodate.

Clean, modern, stylish bathroom and decent shower. Breakfast was good with the added bonus of fresh pancakes. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to Geneva airport, 2 stops on the bus but is walkable. Comfy bed.

Very expensive, for a relatively budget hotel, but we are in Switzerland! Only 1 pillow each (1 extra) and they were pretty solid and unforgiving, but staff did supply an extra one for us. Aircon was good but it was very hot at the time of our stay and could do with reducing temp lower.

This hotel is great, spacious and well organized. Rooms are basic, but beds are comfy and thoughtfully designed. large common area for substantial free breakfast and simple dinners. Best of all, you can walk to the Geneva airport, about a 10-15 minute walk past the Palexpo complex depending on how much luggage you are lugging.

All was fine. No shuttle, there is another Ibis nearby that does offer a shuttle. We tried to take a taxi, thinking there was only one Ibis, and the driver told us there was no shuttle to the Ibis Styles. In the end, we were happier with this hotel.
