Butler Hotel(Former Plaza Hotel)

I booked this hotel for its very convenient location — just a minute's walk away from Taichung Station — and affordable price, and I'm glad I did, because I got good value for my money. Seeing the hotel from the outside (the lobby is a bit dim at night, and the exterior makes the hotel look a bit old), I didn't expect much. But my room was spacious and clean, and the hotel was generous with amenities, too. I also appreciated the extra perks for guests such as free use of the gym and washing machines (you just have to pay for detergent, if you didn't bring your own). The next time I visit Taichung, this will definitely be my first choice for accommodation.

The place is located at the „old“ main train station, which seems a bit remote from more modern areas in Taichung. Nevertheless, well connected as multiple bus lines are stopping around the corner, so it‘s easy to move around. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful, was able to deposit my backpack as I have been arriving too early and even use the laundry facilities. The room was very clean and comfortable.

There is a convenience store just below the building. The staff were friendly and is able to accommodate to my extension request. The room is overall clean and it’s really worth the price given that it’s not as small as it seems! The mattress is clean. Definitely worth the price.

The staff can communicate well in English, the room is clean, near the Taichung train station. It's very convenient to travel. There are markets and convenience stores nearby.

we liked staying at this hotel, it is convenient and close to everything especially near the train station. still clean and you can rest well. their staff is also kind. everything is very neat and beautiful. we will come back and visit it again the next time we stay. god bless

all we can say about was all staff are very accommodating, helpful & affable❤️ if i rate 1-10 i choose 11☺️😍😍😍only 4mins. to walk from tren station.

It is adjacent to the train station with a lot of shops and restaurants in the area. The staff are very friendly. The room is very clean and comfortable.

Convenient location right next to the station. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room. Spacious, clean bathroom with great shower.

There was a bit of noise at night, but not to the extent of affecting sleep.
