Le Meridien Taichung

We live in Taichung and have watch from the start of the development of this property. The opening was impacted by Covid and delayed for a few years. I am glad that the Marriott group stayed the course. The hotel is in a part of the city that is going through the process of Urban renewal. The hotel is a statement to the commitment of city of Taichung. I do hope they survive and become more in tune with value of their property.

Unfortunately, the property is overpriced for what it turned out to be. It is a wonderful hotel. But it is not at the price point currently offered. The room we had was roughly $ 300/day. It had a nice bed but, the other furnishings were cheap, not functional and uncomfortably. The table that served as a desk could not be used as a table or a desk. The layout lacked a practical design.

The size of the room was good for a family of 3. There were baby cribs available. The location was good. There was a shopping mall nearby Free parking Staff were friendly and helpful Breakfast was good although repetitive The staff that delivered the baby crib took off her shoes before entering the room- good hygiene

The housekeeper cleaned with shoes on. The floor had carpets, would be more hygienic if there were no carpets Would be nice to provide baby essentials like kid toothbrush, bottle steriliser and baby tub for families

Super clean and brand new. Very large rooms. All there what you need and expect. NESPRESSO Machine with Crème. Great bathroom, fully loaded minibar, restaurant with impressive wine list and decent food. Great breakfast. Super helpful, cute and discreet concierge. Will make this probably my new hub when in Taichung. Will try one of the suites next time.

No bar or entertainment.

The included breakfast buffet was outstanding, so many choices from a wide range of cuisines. Room was very comfortable and loved the bed.

Despite the swimming pool being promoted and listed as a feature of the property, it was not operating on the days of my stay and appeared to have not been operating any time recently. Chose the property because of the swimming pool so was definite let down. If you hope to use the swimming pool, check before you book that it will be open

The breakfast was excellent so as the location, few minutes walking distance from the main train station.

This is for your improvement, not a complaint. 1. We are very impressed with the Sky Bar. However , the outdoor seats would be better with back cushions. 2. We had a problem trying to contact the reception desk via phone. Otherwise we had a great stay.

I am thoroughly impressed with the service, the spaciousness of the rooms, the quality of the food, and the courtesy of the staff.

Although the location is somewhat distant from markets and malls, this minor inconvenience is far outweighed by the overall quality and experience, leaving me with no room for complaints.

Everything was good about the hotel. The beds, pillows, breakfast, 24 hour gym, the staff and service were amazing. Was exceptionally thankful for Evan Liu and his team for helping to arrange for the delivery of an item that we left behind at the hotel porch by accident. Would definitely return to stay at Le Meridien Taichung when we travel to Taichung.

Clean, spacious and modern room. Large bathroom, the shower had excellent water pressure. Nice breakfast with a good variety of dishes. Helpful staff made this our favorite stay in Taiwan.

clean and huge rooms and toilet. great location right in front of train station and miyahara. very baby/child friendly. provided cot, steriliser and baby bathtub. high chair available at breakfast. wide spread for breakfast.

room wasn’t ready even at 3pm

Perfect location to feel local vibes. Many eateries nearby. The bedroom size is huge!!!

The lobby has limited taxi waiting area. Breakfast is not the best. No local food and limited varieties!
