OC Hostel

Room was quite spacious and had private wash room. Included toiletries, drinking water, washing machine (but no dryer). Good location that isn't far from Tainan Station and many bus stops.

No elevator, drinking water was hot or room temp., no luggage rack. Can be tiring to climb up and down the stairs if on higher floors. Edit: I didn't expect a strange response from the host even thought I thought the place was fine overall. No elevator was expected, but I didn't mention in my original post about room appliances not working, poor sound insulation from both inside and outside the room even though all the walls are literal foam pads, lack of shower exhaust, dirty fan, or that I could see light from the adjacent rooms through the ceiling. I did not need or plan on using the washer. I'm not angry at their reply, just confused.

We loved this place so much that we extended our stay! Our room was super cute and spacious for our family of four. Fantastic location, close to so many cool coffee shops. Plenty of restaurants close by. Close to many of Tainan’s touristic sights. Use of the washing machine was a big plus for us. But what made our stay so special to us is the owner; super friendly, spoke very good English, and was always available to answer all our questions. He even took some time to come with us to visit a local temple. We learnt so much about Tainan and the Taiwanese culture with him. Thank you King and Kiki!

I stayed at OC hostel for over month and I can say with confidence I was very positively impressed. The host was a very cool guy; friendly and hospitable and helped me with any concern I had. The room was very good value for the money paid, and the hotel was in a logistically very convenient area. The place was tidy, clean and quiet. Absolutely no complaints. Overall enjoyed my stay very much, good vibes!

Very well located, close to everything. The staff is a very lovely family you will be able to get recommendations of things to do during your stay. You also keep in touch with them on WhatsApp if you ever need anything. They let me keep my bicycle inside the building where it’s super safe. The rooms are nice and simple, but it has everything you need. I would stay here again, with no hesitation.

Everything is great!

Friendly staff, boss speaks English. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Hot shower with good water pressure. Free washing machine to use and drying area upstairs. Water dispenser, communal fridge, coffee and tea available. Small towels provided. Following the owner's response, apparently there is a microwave and cutlery etc, but we did not see it.

The lounge is a nice place to chill but watch out for the mosquitoes, which the owners do try to control as best as possible.

The welcome on arrival, clean tidy and very comfortable room. Laundry facilities available free of charge (no tumble drier available). Local shops and restaurants at hand as well as a local evening food market not far away. Local sites and temples within short walking distance.

Nothing connected to the hostel, although the main railway station could have been a bit closer! Nothing else.

Oc Hostel in Tainan surpassed our expectations! The accommodations were comfortable, and the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hostel's prime central location made it exceptionally convenient for exploring Tainan's attractions. Clean, well-maintained facilities and laundry machine added to the positive experience. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we highly recommend Oc Hostel, especially for its excellent central location.

The hostel is probably the best I have stayed in , in Tainan. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. The rooms have a/c and a heater so it's perfect for the cooler evenings. The facilities are excellent which includes complimentary tea and coffee and a washing machine for longer staying guests. There is hot/cold water dispenser too. The location is perfect near Chi kan. The owners are wonderful people and all I have for them is love and admiration. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable stay.

Everything perfect

Hostel is located on walkable distance from the train station and old town. Staff was very kind, helpful and spoke english well. Room was clean and cosy, there was all the equipment we needed (including gel for a mosquito bites). There was enough place for two big suitcases. Hostel has common kitchen, but we didn't use it. I would definitely choose that place for the next stay in Tainan.

There is no elevator, but for us it wasn't a problem.
