SSS Life Hotel

Location: Easy walking distance from train station, two blocks from Chikan Tower, truly in the middle of many useful key points. The Hostel provides free bikes which is a generous and superb service. The staff working there are young, kind, and helpful. As you enter the hostel, albeit being in a back alley way, the place is bright and full of joy. It has an almost Scandinavian design feel to the place, meets Japanese efficiency. One more note on the location for weary travelers, the mall across the street with an H&M on the bottom 2 floors has good restaurant (Mochi Mochi has a floor to ceiling glass view of the streets) and 4 stories worth of cinemas. All American and Japanese films are in their original language without dubbing and with Chinese subtitles - an enjoyable afternoon if you just want to sit and escape from the heat. Room: Size is good and plenty spacious, especially compared to other offerings in Taiwanese Hostels. Laundry: Free laundry service on the 6th floor is super useful... it would be helpful if there are laundry lines to allow for drying though.

Mattress: it's thin. I know this is a personal preference but more cushioning would make the sleep more comfortable. A bigger issue: the place and rooms are so well appointed that I wish the finishings of the place was more proper. The edges of the room sometimes make it feel unfinished... it doesn't take away from the overall experience, but paying attention to details would greatly elevate the establishment.

The hotel felt lovely and home-y, and I appreciated the eco-friendly focus - a lot of features seemed well considered and thoughtful for the guests. It was also really nice to have a kitchen area to hang out, make a cup of tea and so forth and not just be in the hotel room.

The futon was a little firm for what I was used to, but wasn't a big deal. There was also wayyy too many emails from the hotel about my booking and various things that got a bit spammy.

Amazing use of limited space in a very Japanese-style way. Never have had such a small room without feeling cramped before. The strongest asset of this hotel is its location in the heart of Tainan's West Central district.

Only one smart socket that worked without the need of adapters. A washlet toilet would have been the icing on the cake. The coffee machine down in the lobby did not work properly despite my best efforts.

The comfortable bed and soundproof room. The little things the hostel goes out of its way to provide. E.g. body lotion, torch light, cutlery, fridge and minibar in room. And the privacy the room provides.

Size of the room we stayed was a bit cramped. No space to open two suitcases at once.

This was the perfect place to stay for my trip. It was just a little, comfy, safe place where I could leave my things and sleep soundly. It was cool and comfortable and the bath was excellent.

It was a little tricky to find, even with Google maps! A little explanation / directions would be helpful.

Location to find it😆 Couldn’t find it only with google maps. Passed the alley three times and a kind neighbor showed me how to get there 💕

Since I was arriving after hours, they were able to arrange self-check in for me. The room is comfortable for one person and it was walking distance to food & tainan hot spots.

The washroom is a little cramped, but it was expected. The fan/AC was a little loud even though I had set it to low speed.

Great Customer Service! The staff was very accommodating to all of my needs! Great place to stay! Recommend this place to any couple, all you need is an scooter and off you go! I will must definitely come back again!

A bit of an distance from the High Speed Rail

Really love the room design, it is simple, bright, & clean. Located at city center, it is easy to go everywhere by bus/bike. Staffs are very friendly.
