Wyndham Bangkok Queen Convention Centre

Great hotel with spectacular infinity pool and bar on the roof. The view over Bangkok is unique. Very comfortable, clean and large rooms. The bed is very comfortable and the room amenities are good. Just around the corner is a good but expensive restaurant called "El Mercado".

Unfortunately, the staff speaks extremely poor English, which made communication difficult. We had to organise the taxi ourselves and there were no tips on surrounding sights. The location of the hotel is not ideal. The metro is close by. However, there are no sights in this district. The bar on the roof was too air-conditioned and there was an unpleasant smell.

Lovely modern hotel, nice rooftop pool. our room was upgraded and was spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was good and staff were very helpful and attentive.

From checking in to checking out I had a great short stay and only wish I could of stayed longer. Staff were great helpful and on hand to assist should I need anything. Great little coffee shop downstairs in reception. Lovely well kept clean room. Amazing pool area with outstanding views. I like the fact it’s not quite in Bangkok which if you are wanting to stay a little further out then this is for you! However still so many shops etc near by. Room has everything which was a pleasant surprise. Robes, sliders, slippers and managed to get all my washing done as there is a washing machine. Bonus. Amazing restaurant with views and food was incredible.

Ok the pool is small not many sun beds but that doesn’t mean you can’t lay on a towel no issues with this for me personally.

We booked the large room for a really good rate. We were so surprised at the size of the room. The restaurant does really good Thai food and they deliver to your room. The train station was right across the street.

The windows open to the outside and there’s a window right next to the bed that i didn’t realize was open when I went to bed. I was scared for my life when I noticed this, an adult couldn’t fit through the opening but my phone could’ve fallen 10 floors.

beautiful apartments, great design. Very close to the MRT which meant our family of 5 cost just 77baht to get to Terminus 21 and 180 baht to get to the outstanding weekend market. A lovely breakfast was included on the 28th floor with great views. Lovely staff. Rooftop has a gorgeous infinity pool which everyone enjoyed. The rooms were serviced everyday by wonderful, kind housekeeping. Everything was immaculate. Also very honest. apologies for not leaving you the tip you deserved but I was in such a rush I forgot. We had two Japanese toilets in each two bedroom apartment. The showers were glorious and we even had a bath. Design was so good we would love to copy it when we redo some of our bathrooms at home. Beds were very comfortable with excellent pillows and quality linen. Great air conditioning! Well done!!

We found it difficult to get You Tube or Netflix in English. Wifi was excellent.

Big rooms, comfortable enormous bed, good running water in shower.

Nothing I didn't like but lighting could be made softer by having some lamps/sidelights. Ceiling lights are too harsh

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. However I asked and was told I could have 2 fried eggs but the bacon wasn't up to western standards. The rest was OK, fruit and Yogurt with honey or maple syrup, toast. Close to a station for one of the metro/underground transport systems which is great. Rooms were clean and a great size. Water replaced every day. Towels too. Pool was good, open late or no one told us it was closed anyway. Good gym which I did not use but it had all the equipment in it. Double bedroom suites were spacious and better than expected. No one bothered my son had more kids than we had booked for. (Under 10 years old) Daughter-in-law was pleased, there is a microwave, cooker and washing machine in every room.

Restaurant in the hotel was a bit sparse of food for westerners, avoid the wagyu strips, they were dire if you are expecting succulent lean meat. But out of the front, round to the right is a restaurant, Mercado if I remember correctly. This was brilliant and the staff were great. Just avoid chocolate ice cream, it's more like chocolate sauce and is not nice. The meat plate, between 2/3 people was fantastic. Wife liked the vegetable risotto, said it was really nice. A bit pricey but the food was great. (You can see into the place from the rooms on that side of the Wyndham) Getting a taxi or food via Grab was difficult, the Thai internet web system could not locate the place, possibly due to changing its name often. Sure this can be rectified if you persist.

Breakfast was good, once I knew I could get fried eggs. Coffee was great. Dinner was fairly good but the choice of western taste food was a bit limited. Rooms are a great size, the switch location you have to learn as they are not too logical. great that you can open the windows without falling out - takes some getting used to. Pool on the roof was great.

Plug sockets on the wall in the bedroom section were not used as there was nowhere to place the item plugged in. Grab food delivery or arranging taxis for pickup was difficult as the Thai web system could not find the hotel address correctly. Possibly due to it changing its name. Make sure you pickup a 'get me home' card from reception.

I have visited Bangkok on many occasions and the hotel was a pleasant surprise, the location was great in a quite area of Bangkok and less than 50meters to the train station. We also walked to Asok and Siam which was nice. It is located next to a beautiful park in the city center and the views from rooms and fitness facilities are amazing. The have a roof top pool on the 33rd floor, gym and also a nice Resturant & bar. I would defiantly book here again. We were a family of 4 and stayed for 5 nights, we did not book breakfast here as we prefer to eat locally. The rooms were very modern, spacious, very clean, great pressure in the showers, amazing views from all rooms. Within a 5mins walking distance you can find many street vendors, 7-11 and amazing European Restuant called El Mercado, the owner was lovely, excellent food, we went for oysters several time.
