Halifaks Hotel

I had two main requirements: to have good internet and to have a balcony. This hotel is one of the few that answered both my requests in the center of Istanbul. Most places that are supposed to have balconies do not actually have balconies, but 5-10 centimeters of space, which is usually for flowers. This hotel had a really big balcony. Another advantage is that the hotel is on a very quiet street, although it is actually 3 minutes from the main one. This gave me the opportunity to work. The staff is extremely kind, there is no question or request that they do not respond to.I arrived 4 hours early, I just wanted to leave my luggage, but they offered to accommodate me. It was great because that way I could take a shower after the long trip.

Tip: there may be an extra table and chair on the balcony instead of taking them out of the room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also good. Overall I was happy with my stay in this hotel.

The rooms do not have sound insulation, so if the neighbors are too noisy it can be bothering. Luckily it was not too loud for me. The cleaning staff sometimes forgot stuff (e.g. putting toilet paper, proper cleaning) or sometimes entered the room while you were there. Also my scissors got broken after one of the cleanups. The cleaning staff could be trained better to be more professional. The phone in the room was not working. We mentioned this issue but it did not get fixed.

Absolutely liked this place. No complaints whatsoever, which is unheard of for Istanbul in my experience. Everything was clean and worked, the staff was helpful, wifi was fast enough for Netflix HD, two elevators so no wait, breakfast was a bit better than typical, location is great, close to the subway station and a huge modern shoping mall, but far enough from them to be in the quiet, less than 10 minute walk in a safe neighborhood. To be fair, sound isolation between the rooms wasn't good, but it is pretty bad nearly everywhere, so it's expected, Also imho there's too much useless old fashioned (like the whole interior) furniture in the room eating up space, but since the room was pretty big, no problem here, after all maybe other people like it. All in all, great place and even better value for money. Will be glad to return for sure.

Everything was absolutely perfect. The room was both large and tidy, the staff smiled all the time and if I had questions they answered right away. , The breakfast was varying every day which I and the family stated greatly at, the location was a few minutes from Osmanbey Metro Station and Cevahir Shopping Center.

The staff working at the front desk were very helpful. Special thanks to Atusa who always went out of her way to accommodate us and answered our questions with patience to the best of her capability. Everyone in the hotel was very polite and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were clean and spotless and the cleaners took really good care of the rooms while cleaning. Breakfast service was exceptional with a lot of variety. The location is fantastic to access the metro and different transports.

The only problem was with how noisy rooms could get, as walls are not sound proof. However, staff offered us right at the start to inform them if that is the case and they could help us by moving our room.

Overall the staying was satisfying, the location of the hotel is good and in a calm area. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room could be more cleaner, sometimes we found the floor dusty and not wiped. But everything else was satisfying.

The hotel is located on a cozy street right near a mosque. The metro station is 10 minute walk which is excellent. Really good breakfast and dozens of cafes nearby. One hour on the metro from the IST airport. The room is clean and cozy, and blackout curtains are helpful for such sleepyheads as I am. A small table matched my expectations (I used it for work)

WiFi could have been more stable. I worked from the room and sometimes it dropped the connection.

The location is good, close to the main street of Sisli, and you can walk to different close places such as Cavaher mall, Niśantasi, Osmanbay, and Istiklal midan in taksim. The room space is considerably wide enough for moving around, and the hotel was clean. Lighting of the room and bathroom is very good. I liked my stay there.

There’s a need to improve soundproofing in the corridors.
