The Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel

The room was a great size for two people Easily accessible location with very friendly staff Comfortable bed and clean room with tea/coffee making supplies, staff provide any extra bedding required or towels, etc Shower was amazing and there was no disturbance during the two nights I stayed

One of the only negatives was the slow Wi Fi connection but I think that may have been due to the location of my room which was at the very far end of the second floor

We paid for a double room but were put in the family suite, which was stunning. Staff were very friendly and there's a wonderful beer garden to relax in (plus the drinks were pretty cheap compared to down south!).

We paid for breakfast but there were no vegetarian sausages so we ordered a smaller breakfast. It took a long time to come, drinks even longer, and we struggled for cutlery and sugar for drinks. The girl who was working was clearly on her own and lots of people to look after, so maybe an extra person needed to help.

The location suited us. Parking on site is good. All common areas regularly cleaned so pretty happy to stay at this hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Second time stayed here while visiting family, so simply only slept here. We paid small price above basic for a slightly better room than my 1st visit.

Had to get staff to reprogramme key card on 2nd and 3rd nights to allow re-entry to room, which they did without fuss but we never found getting into room all that straightforward.

Clean, comfortable, efficient place to stay. Little bit of a journey from coach station but perfectly located for what we needed it for. Room was good with adequate storage space and comfortable beds. Shower was a revelation and perfect for refreshing after the long journey down. Staff were extremely friendly and couldnt be faulted.

About a 20 minute cab ride from Sheffield interchange but not really businesses fault. Very quiet but I didnt mind that at all.

Nice welcome. Nice staff. Good directions for finding the room. Clean. Comfortable bed. Hot shower. Spacious room. Nicely wrapped soap. Plenty of plug sockets. Kettle, tea, coffee. Good location near three supermarkets, lots of shops and leisure facilities.

More tea and coffee sachets in room. Easier to open window. The window was high up. Clearer instructions about putting key card in a slot to get electricity working.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very good value for money, once we found out how to order it. Room was adequate for our 1 night stay. Carparking was ok.

I accept that the hotel holds functions and the website does state that music will be heard up to midnight. But I didn't appreciate the booming music from the function going on till way past 2am when the marquee was just outside our bedroom window. It was so loud, even with the window shut!! (Also, the beds could do with new mattresses - not a complaint, more an observation)

We stayed there overnight as a wedding party guests. The room was comfortable, affordable and adequate for our needs. The staff were very friendly, the meal for the wedding was enjoyable. All in all, a pleasant tay.

The only thing that let it down for us was that the amout of tea/coffee in the room could have been more. Probably if we had asked we could have got more, but I wouldn't downgrade my opinion of the room for that.

ive stayed here before. nice pleasant staff did not have breakfast but had a carvery for tea which was nice .

the room i booked was stated as part of the new hotel new decor etc but was i was allocated a front bedroom over looking the main road . small room curtain hanging off no blinds on windows people on buses can see into the room but it was ok for me as i just needed a bed for the night .

Upon arrival, I was a few hours early. Asked to leave bags so we could go to the football. Allowed us to check in early as room was ready. In the room 2 neatly made single beds, 2 pillows each(!), clean and smelt nice. Plug by bed, kettle, coffee and tea. In the bathroom, plenty of towels, and the shower was the best ive ever had in a hotel. Staff were helpful with every request, including getting me a fork at 10pm at night. They have a real nice Yorkshire personality, and are very welcoming. Bonus, Saturday is karaoke night. All in all a brilliant stay, and I've already booked again with them. Better than any other budget hotel I've stayed in, and some branded or 'posh' hotels.

It didn't bother me, but there is loud music until 0000 on a Saturday night. It is advertised on their website, but I didn't look at that before going. It shut off promptly at midnight, and I couldn't really hear it in my room before this, but this is something to consider when booking.
