Jannel Bed & Breakfast

Really good size bedroom,easy to control heating system,windows available to open if needed,great selection of teas,coffee,chocolate and biscuits in room.Extremely comfortable bed and excellent pillows-we have never slept so well! Excellent selection at breakfast time and really great coffee. Paul catered for my Gluten Free requirements which were very much appreciated.Our room was tastefully furnished with good quality bedding ,towels etc.Added bonus was a fridge in our room.Safe onsite parking with lots of space. Loads of island information provided by the hosts,leaflets,maps etc and good recommendations.Quiet neighbourhood and a short walk into town.We really would recommend. :)

Great location - ample parking space, very handy for getting on to main routes south, west and north. Fantastic breakfast - lots of options, and cooked breakfast was well cooked with quality ingredients. Very clean and well kept. Very comfortable room and bed (we had the suite).

Can't think of anything we didn't like

Everything - from the warm welcome in the teeth of a howling Atlantic gale, to the excellent breakfast the next morning, and the very comfortable bed. Loved the ensuite - excellent shower. The whole house looks lovely - lots of Highland / Scottish touches, and the pictures on the wall of Hebridean scenery painted by the proprietor's father were inspirational and just beautiful Excellent place to stay in Stornoway

The hotel was wondeful, close to the ferry port, close to where I was working so very convenient. The hosts were lovely. The room was very clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

I couldnt sample the breakfast! Unfortunately I was booked on the 1st ferry so was unable to take advantage of the breakfast.

A beautiful B&B with a large and very clean room. Paul was a wonderful host who was always on hand to provide useful tips and advice for the day’s activities. The breakfast was beautiful with a wonderful fruit salad in addition to a tasty fry! The house was in a residential area but only a 15 min walk to the town center with many restaurants and pubs- a great location to explore the island from! We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend!

No complaints!

The room was a reasonable temperature (i.e. not overheated) with the warm bedding doing a great job at night. The host, Paul, was friendly and accommodating and breakfasts were a joy. There was plenty of good information around and paul was helpful in this respect too.

Location was a perfect base for our stay, close to town and castle where we attended a wedding. Breakfast superb, good choice and time slot offered each day to ensure we were not kept waiting long to be served.

There was nothing not to like.

Friendly welcome, clean and tidy and very cosy room. Breakfast was nice too. Nice touch from the owner was when a packed lunch was left for me because I had to get early ferry back and wouldn't have breakfast. lovely stay and look forward to returning.

Large room. Paul supplied extra t bags etc and milk on request. Gave good advice about local restaurants and attractions. Very helpful when I had an accident and needed support and ensured I was comfortable and checked on my welfare! He ensured my car hire was picked up after my accident meant I couldn't drive and had to return early for treatment.

Lovely B&B and a great location in Stornoway. Paul and Maureen are wonderful hosts. The house is immaculate. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious and the beds very comfortable. I highly recommend it!
