Helen, our hostess, was lovely and very accommodating. We had a large bedroom with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was compact but had everything we needed. We had views across the moors which were lovely. The breakfasts were great. And, bless her, she gave us freshly baked cup cakes in the morning which we ate on the ferry.

Nothing to do with Helen or the accommodation but if you are around on Sundays or Mondays, it is difficult to find restaurants open. So BOOK. Don't expect 5 * meals either but the food is ok. We went to the same restaurant for each night as it was the only one that seemed to be open and we had to eat at 5.30 on the first night as they were booked solid. Otherwise, Helen offers evening meals. And I hear they are good !! We were not impressed by Stornoway but ... go to the Castle as the museum is exceptional !!!

Great location just outside of Stornoway. Easy place to use as a base for exploring the Isle of Lewis and Harris. We had a triple and the room and bathroom were spacious enough that we didn't feel cramped while all of us were in the room. Breakfast was great and super filling! Helen was great from the time we arrived, she was super helpful in suggesting places to see. She even made sure to pack us sandwiches before our ferry ride back to Ullapool since we were going to miss breakfast. If you are lucky enough to find availability here, book it, you won't regret it!

Five of us stayed here for three nights. Amazing hospitality! Our host made us feel very welcomed from the first minute we arrived! Delicious breakfast (I still miss the amazing porridge our host prepared for us every morning!), including gluten free options, very clean and beautifully-decorated rooms, easy parking, beautiful and quiet location, brand new en-suite bathroom and brand new shared bathroom. We were the only ones staying there at the time so it made all the difference. Our host gave us lots of tips on where to go and what to see, which were invaluable. She even prepared sandwiches for us when we caught the ferry back to mainland at 7am. Would definitely stay here again, no doubt!

Nice B&B, all that you need you will have. The host Helen is supportive and super friendly. Some rooms have an ocean/harbour view. The living room is superb, furnished in style. The fireplace and large window with sea view. The bathroom is external, very spacious with shower and separate bath. The house's internal decor is modern with an old fashioned scent. Suburb of Stornoway, 5 min drive to center, plenty of parking are good. You can see highland cattle nearby or deer in a field if lucky. Pet friendly.

The main bathroom lock needs to be fixed, or I didn't get how to lock it 😂 It would be nice to have a small sitting area outside and awning/portico. All the rest is fantastic

We had a terrific stay and the most delightful host. She was very welcoming when we arrived, the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well-appointed and she gave us a number of great sightseeing pointers. It was quiet when we stayed and we slept very well. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The location is great - we thought it was further away from Stornaway then it really is. It is a very quick drive to town, but in a quiet, rural location. There is a lovely walk out back of the property but when we were there it was a bit cold and wet so I was disappointed we couldn't take advantage of the nearby trail.

Extremely comfortable twin room with sea view and lambs playing in the field opposite! Handy for Stornoway and roads to Ness etc. Spacious dedicated bathroom with lovely deep tub and shower. Owner could not have been more helpful, and if you opt for an evening meal, she is an excellent cook.

Only advice I'd give would be level up the surface car parking space with the road as the lip was a bit anxiety making in a hired car on a hill...

The host was extremely kind and helpful, giving us information on driving times and ferries, as well as places to eat in town. Breakfast was wonderful. We also paid to have dinner at the property one evening- it was one of the best meals we had during our trip to Scotland! The large dining table enabled us to eat with other patrons and we really enjoyed the experience!

This turned out to be one of our favourite stops on our 2 week tour of Scotland. Helen was so welcoming and made us feel so comfortable - nothing was too much trouble! She even sat and helped us plan our day with us! The breakfast is perfectly made and if you are lucky you will get her homemade pancaked (she even gave me extra for the road!).

The breakfast was amazing - one of the best ever. Helen treated us like honored guests. The food was well presented and served. She also offered evening meals which were equally super. House was new looking and very clean. Bathroom was large with separate tub and shower. Would love to stay longer.

Wish we could have stayed more than the 2 nights but she was booked up.

Very much home - like, very attentive and hospitable owner - thanks a lot Helen, we felt us very comfortable. Cozy atmosphere, very filling breakfast and absolutely delicious evening meals. That fish with scallops and prawns in white wine sauce was a masterpiece 🤤 Always clean, always tidy 👍👍 Always available car parking
