Aspen Hotel

I did appreciate the front desk receptionist, Emily, that checked me in. She was very friendly and welcoming. The pool was very soothing and because there was only a couple there, it was very nice. I also appreciate the laundry room. It was perfect and not spendy. Mahalo for the hospitality Aspen in Soldotna, AK.

There was no breakfast. Price was very high for one day and there weren't much handicapped parking. There was caution tape around the whole entrance due to wet paint. So I had to drive through a dirt road to get to the side of the building and walk all the way to the lobby just to check in.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Easy to locate, and right in the hub of places to eat and a block away from visitors center. Boardwalk to Kenai River directly behind the building! Room was clean, building had secure entries, and pool was open, however pool needed a good cleaning. I will stay there again if I ever get back that way. Great accommodations, and competitive prices. Best place we stayed on our trip! Coffee was always available in the lobby as well++++

I didn’t like how the fridge was completely off. I’m glad I noticed before the stuff I had put in the fridge went bad. I mean I’ve worked in a hotel and I understand how some people turn the fridge off but you should be making sure when you clean the fridge out to make sure it’s on

The location was right on the river! The hotel staff was very sweet and accommodating and gave us anything we needed. The coffee in the morning was great!

I understand breakfast was an option prior to covid but maybe something to offer to eat at the coffee bar during the day.

Clean, modern, nice pool/hot tub. They even had a soap dish in the bathroom. room was a great layout, nightstands on both sides of bed.

The only bad thing was no breakfast, although there’s a dining area so looks like there used to be. Coffee provided in the lobby, but it had been there awhile.

location and friendliness of staff

Pool was not available and the fitness center was only pieces of cardio equipment- no weights or other exercise options.

I love the area of Soldotna, the river is beautiful and lots of area on it to fish. With a boardwalk along the river to watch fisherman or find your own spot.

I was under the impression that the river was in viewing of the rooms/hotel but it is not. It is in walking distance behind the hotel.

The location was good for our needs.

The parking lot was a little treacherous with the ice build up and no defined paths to walk.

Unfortunately there was no breakfast offered. Coffee was offered only.

Unavailability of continental breakfast.

Room was ready when I arrived and it was very large and clean... Mostly quiet even those close to the highway... Perfectly located for my two days of fishing.
