Southwest Inn at Sedona

Room was spacious and had a southwest fireplace. Added charm to otherwise fairly standard 2 queen room. Bathrooms clean and updated. There was a pool and spa (husband enjoyed the spa, and it was open until 10 or so). Each room had an outdoor space with table and chairs to enjoy. I'm sure this would be nicer if you were on an upper floor - probably a nice view of the mountains. Easy parking and on main road.

Unfortunately (probably because of COVID), the included breakfast was just ho hum - cereal and pre-packaged pastries, burritos to heat in microwave, etc.

Beds were very comfortable, and though this might be a well-loved hotel, i.e., not the newest, it is in very good condition, very clean, has a pleasing design and a good location. Even though we had ground floor rooms opening to the parking lot, I felt safe. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool or hot tub facilities since we got our fill of water at Slide Rock, but they looked well maintained and clean, and saw older couples by the pool reading and a few other guests socializing in the hot tub. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sedona. Liked the gas fire place in the room, even ran it briefly before bed just for the ambience.

Breakfast wasn't anything to write home about, but Sedona has a lot to offer, from the hot bar at Whole Foods to lovely cafes if you want to splurge a little. We brought our own cream for coffee and fruit to augment. At least they had eggs, and the coffee was tasty, which is all I really need first thing!

Great view, nice large patios. Super clean hot tub & pool. most staff very pleasant. Good location with free accessible parking. close to trails.

Breakfast is a total disaster. no staff to provide any answers. such as - how long to heat up the omelet that is in the fridge, do you have peanut butter, etc etc. Morning guy with dog very unapproachable and ignores patrons. Crappy cheap pastries just left on the counter with a lid and yogurt toppings sitting in weird area with no serving utensils. Place is over priced for area and what they offer. Bed was comfy enough but bottom sheet has lost all its elastic and comes off every time you sit or sleep on it. Yuck.

Great location. Easy to get to and convenient to sights and restaurants. Loved the fireplace in the room and the balcony. The landscaping is nicely done and some of the cactus were blooming. Two luggage racks were a great idea. The bathroom area was large and had good water pressure. The room was clean.

Breakfast was very limited and didn't start until 7:30. There was a chair in the room but no table. The in room refridgerator was the smallest available,and was just about useless, and no microwave. DID NOT like the robo machine in the lobby to talk to staff.

Nice hotel in heart of Sedona. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Pool area was nice. Breakfast options were kind of limited but pleasant. Walking distance to food, right next to a pizza place that was very good. It was a good price compared to many of the other options in the area.

The only downside was that to check in and out they use a person on a screen virtually. I am sure many wouldn't mind, but I like to talk to a person actually present. She was very nice, it was just kind of awkward. The lady servicing the breakfast area was not very friendly.

Quiet area. Good value for price paid. Room comfy and clean

We went out after breakfast, did not check out yet but we decided to put our bags in the car. When we came back around a little past 9am, we were surprised to see the room being cleaned, the food we stored in the fridge was in the trash. Check out time is around 11am and we did not understand why it was already being cleaned. Also, there's no actual staff at check out, just someone working remotely. I told her what happened and that I didn't liked the experience. What if we still had our other stuff in the room?

I really enjoyed our stay at Southwest Inn at Sedona. It is a “Mom and Pop” type hotel. I was greeted by a friendly young gentleman that answered all of my questions and was very helpful. The property was well maintained and clean. Each room had an outdoor sitting area that was nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The only negative was maybe the breakfast. Just the basics, which was fine. Maybe offer a few more options. But the yogurt was very good. And it did start a little later than usual for breakfast at a hotel.

The rooms are gorgeous and very comfortable. The fireplace inside the room made our stay so cozy, rooms are spacious and beds and comfortable. The little coffee maker inside the room was well appreciated. Great pool!

A bit far from town, and unfortunately the cafe next to the hotel was closed for the holidays. We had to take our car everywhere, but the parking lot was perfect for safe parking! The breakfast is your very standard breakfast with an additional burrito you could heat up. Was definitely a shock checking in with an AI machine and person behind a screen as we arrived late at night. Everything went very well, though!

Stayed here for 11 days, as was attending a course in Sedona for a few days, then being a tourist. The location was great, only a short drive along the 89A into the centre of town, and lots of good eateries along the way too. Anywhere you go in Sedona has great views, and the balcony from our room was no exception. Lovely to have a pool even if it was fairly small. Nice sized room with comfortable beds. Well equipped bathroom. Friendly staff. Breakfast was adequate for setting you up for the day - self service buffet - omlettes, bagels and cream cheese, cereals, plenty of coffee.

Would have been nice to have a bit more frequent room service as it was an 11 day stay.

we were welcomed with the nicest room in the facilities we think. I liked that the hotel goes the extra mile to add color and southern flair to the rooms. it feels cozy and warm and the corner fireplace was sweet. Wish they had painted and carried on the same colors into the bathroom. its a lovely spot when you travel on a budget and it can definitely compete with the fancier Sedona properties.

the bathroom design was new but the walls should be painted in the same scheme as the rest of the rooms.
