Coronado Motor Hotel, a Travelodge by Wyndham

super helpful staff! this was our second stay. we like the old style motels way better than large chains where your parking your car far way from your room and have to walk down a hallway etc..

our first room wasn't great, but the receptionist was fantastic and without hesitation switched us to a far better room.

THE breakfast was good and the room was a nice size. They had a power chair that made it comfortable. They also had a hair dryer that made my wife happy. Overall, it was good.

With regard to breakfast, the way the made the toast at the end of the week seemed rancid. Perhaps the grill was not cleaned each day. When the beginning of the new week came, it was much better. Also, the noise was quite disturbing from the cars going by. Many young “hot rod” reaving up their engines, then there was the garbage truck that loaded the bit around 5:00 am. That was not fault of the owner, just an observation.

Friendly staff greeted me at my spur-of-the-moment 11:30 pm check-in. Upgraded me to a larger room (no additional charge). Two-bedroom suite came with large TVs, clean with comfortable beds, and quiet A/C. Free breakfast at a nearby restaurant -- cook to order was a strong plus! Hotel located in charming historic part of town. Ample parking with spot for me to pull up right in front of hotel room so no need to struggle with luggage. Overall, great value for your money.

Cons: slight street noise from the hotel room. Granted the hotel has four sections and we stayed in the section with the historic one-story rooms located next to office. Also a larger door bolted lock would give added security.

A little better explanation on the breakfast. I missed the first morning because I didn’t know about it. No info at check in and nothing in the room really helpful. I happened to be in lobby and asked the clerk and got the details. The reviews are correct…excellent breakfast. Not a buffet but a complete sit down experience with restaurant staff. The restaurant is practically on the premises so you can walk to it.

Love the staff at the hotel they are Kind,friendly and efficient. I had a nice very spacious and clean deluxe king room.The free breakfast at the landing is superb and the location is excellent!

I didn't like the fact that my room was on the corner right by the noisy traffic it was very loud during the day in the evening it quieted down and I was able to sleep next time I would request a different room.

Loved the size of the room and bed options and comes with an awesome free breakfast right next door. The maid was super awesome and always checked to make sure we had everything and kept it clean

Parking was hard cause the spots were too close together and we kept getting stuck. Louder neighborhood where kids were playing in the parking garage across the way. Also could use some updating inside room

Great classic motel in Yuma. Great location Friendliest staff. Awesome beds and bedding. Best restaurant full cooked breakfast included. The highlight of every stay in Yuma Not your boxstore stay. Very relaxing. Great mex restaurant across the street Close to prison, haha Close to Los algadones.

Upgrade the windows to keep traffic noise out.

Probably the best kept-up motel in Yuma, all around high quality, well appointed, exceptional front desk people, great location, nice pool, really comfy beds, nice room. Walking distance to the old downtown with historic buildings and breweries.

Down the street a restaurant provided breakfast which did go great-- but don't try eating dinner there, no one took our order for 30 minutes so we left.

Convenience of location. It was quiet and the room was dark. Hot water was good and hot! Heater worked well. The free breakfast was great, an added value to the cost of the stay.

Needs new door seal--could see light all around it. Carpet had a spot or tear in front of the bathroom door. Faucet was very hard to operate! Needed clean wash cloths and got only one!

Our rate included a hot breakfast each of us selected at the modern restaurant across the street. Very good breakfast. Cooked to our order!

The motel is "old"...like 50-80 years--but it is kept up well. It is not of"new modern" construction...but the location just off the freeway, the comfort of the beds, the excellent breakfast you order at the restaurant as well as being 2-5 minutes from the Yuma Territorial Prison (#1 Visitor Attraction) made the Coronado Motor Motel a great value!
