Best Western Plus Hill House

The beds are so comfortable I had to ask the brand of the mattress and pillows, I didn’t want to leave 😊. It’s so easy to get any kind of help you need, u forgot something? Just call the front desk. The room had everything you can need.

Google maps took us to the back of the property, which the email confirmation also showed a picture of, a quick call and got help right away.

Upon arrival the lady at the desk was great, she printed directions to our house party we were there to attend. She was very friendly.

There was no continental breakfast offered. There was no coffee in the pots and when asked we were offered some packaged muffins. This was very disappointing since everything else was very good.

This place was clean and smelled good. our room was lovely and had big, fluffy, clean towels. The staff was friendly and helpful! Most important, it felt safe and didn’t have any sketchy activity going on. It has a iron fence around the whole property. I was very pleased with our 2 day stay and will stay again if I visit this area again.

The room was very spacious, clean, well equipped (coffee maker, iron, microwave, hairdryer, lots of furniture) and warm. air con was working well. staff was super nice and helpful! breakfast was a ‘grab and go’ type. yea and coffee available near reception. there’s a bar at the hotel too.

BAGGED breakfast : yogurt, granola bar, muffin, and juice...we expected a regular breakfast bar. Unfortunately, I can't have dairy or acidic foods, which left me with only a granola bar. I would have chosen a different hotel if I had known this. Other hotels aren't giving out covid breakfast bags any more.

Clean room, friendly staff

The bagged breakfast was off-putting, they hand you a bag and it makes you feel like "Here you go, now leave". On Booking.com a notation should be made that notes it is not a hot breakfast.

We travel to Bakersfield 3 to 4 times a year. B.W. Hill House is always our go to place.

The only negative thing was their price increase of almost 20% since our last stay in August. I booked through an internet booking company, bad decision. I will book directly with the property on my return in March.

Location was convenient and the breakfast was good.

I didn't like the fact that our ice machine was down so we had to walk to the lobby or other building for ice, also the pool was not the cleanest it wasn't horrible but did need to be cleaned.

The rooms were phenomenal and amazingly clean. By far the most comfortable and relaxing time I've had in a long time. This was the first time I stayed in this location and I am coming back to the same place in two weeks from now. Thank you very much for the opportunity to experience this amazing hotel

Bordered an area that was sketchy with bars on most windows. No restaurants nearby open at night (Sunday)
