Perfect hotel, renovated only recently. Amazingly well equipped and tastefully decorated room with its own kitchenette, fantastic bathroom with all sorts of toiletries, infinite selection of TV channels and streaming services, etc. Wonderful bed and bedding, super quiet... We had the small 'queen bed' room. In a nutshell - as a 4 star hotel should be. And very reasonable price for a establishment of this category.

Parking is not included but don't let that bother you because it's located in a small town, and there's plenty of parking in the street in front of the hotel. You just need to move the car away on a weekday.

Parking, and we never met anyone at the hotel. when we called the receptionist only claimed our phone number was incorrect. The number is actually a European number, however capable of receiving texts messages. We are well traveled and have used Booking.com for our accommodations and have been contacted about accommodations through Booking.com. We attempted to contact the hotel through email and never heard back from them. The hotel communication with us was the only difficulty we had with them.

Tea kettle was included, as were some dishes and cutlery. Fridge larger than usual. Small kitchen sink with dishwashing soap and cloths. Comfortable bed. Spacious room (7). Outdoor patio (that we did not use because of bad weather).

Plates supplied could have been larger. No on-site parking. No elevator. Poor WiFi quality. Hard to reach a real person to talk to, when we had to change our travel dates. Decorative lights at night in outside patio, shining right into the window beside the bed.

We found the property to be lovely, the room was excellent. Great beds, large bathroom, nice location in Dunsmuir- very walkable. Nice mini kitchen in the room nice with coffee supplies appreciated.

I'm hoping they are fixing up the back patio area as it would be nice to have a comfortable outdoor space to sit and have a glass of wine, etc. Maybe even a gas firepit! Also could have used some info for restaurants in the area and days/hours of operation in the room.

check in process is not easy. A door code is sent days prior to arrival because there isn’t a reception desk … at least the 2 times we stayed there. This visit we were given inaccurate instructions regarding which room we had so after a long day of driving it was cumbersome to test the room door code on one room downstairs and another room upstairs to figure it out. I tried calling and got a message. There is a long staircase to upstairs rooms so a little challenging with heavy suitcases.

The hotel is like a luxory SF boutique hotel in the town of Dunsmuir, CA and is romantic, quiet, super comfortable, very chic. We could not get a ground floor room but it was safe to leave our stuff in the covered part of the car on the street in front of the hotel. There is a ground floor room. The rooms are extremely quiet. There is a train that passes by but one hardly notices it. The climate control in the room is great and the tub is wonderful for soaking. Next door is a great masseuse and down the street is Cafe Maddelana, a must go to restaurant and must be booked ahead of time.

Gee, hard to say. This place is a FIND! I guess for older folks carrying stuff up the stairs could be a problem. Book the one bedroom on the ground floor and I think you will be happy. The access to Highway 5 and Shasta is also very very good.

good location for local eating options, room was very nice and comfortable. The lobby was a comfortable place to eat our takeout dinner. Really liked the numerical codes instead of keys or cards.

Street parking wasn't that convenient, especially without directions on where to park. It's dog-friendly but there was no handy place to take the dogs for a quick bathroom break. The park a couple blocks up was the closest and not that handy late at night. The big bathroom was lovely but the shower curtain was just short enough to allow shower water to puddle on the floor outside the shower. Just a couple more inches of length would have prevented a slippery bathroom floor.

Room. Spacious, clean, quiet, and beautiful. Very nice and friendly people in Dunsmuir. Hiking to the Hedge creek falls and the best water in the world.

No staff at the front desk. Difficulty in communication. No elevator (dangerous to carry heavy luggage upstairs). Couldn't adjust the room temperature, and no ice machine. However, I still liked Mossbrae Hotel very much.

Beautiful large room with high ceilings. Wine glasses and corkscrew. Quality comfortable bed. Very classy.

Shades didn’t block the very bright street light outside of our room. The drapes are on little clips and fall off when trying to close the drapes. I had to stand on unstable furniture to get the drapes clipped again. The room was very pricey.

Location was great. Bed was super excellent! I’m hoping to go back again so we can explore the area more, with all the waterfalls nearby.

Unfortunately our door entry pad battery died so we couldn’t get to our luggage to pack up. We found someone to help us though. It only took about 10 extra minutes before we were back on the road.
