Best Western Plus Gardena-Los Angeles Inn & Suites

The spaciousness of our room! We reserved a King room with two king beds, which is a rarity among hotel rooms. It was perfect for my husband in one bed and our two children in other bed. The beds were excellent, plush-firm kind and very comfortable to sleep on. So easy to stay in bed and hard to get out, literally! Since this hotel was built in 2016, everything looks fairly brand-new and updated with modern "do-not-disturb" system features (i.e. push button inside your room to let housekeeping yes (white light) to enter or not ready (red light) and the housekeeping staff will see the light feature outside of room. No more floppy doorknob placards!!!) The hotel location is perfect -- easy getting to places and freeways. Yes, this hotel is in 'da hood, but hey, it's all good in the 'hood for a reasonable price and it's clean! More bang for your bucks. I also liked their security feature on the elevator -- nobody can't go up to any floor unless they have their own hotel cards. Breakfast room is very spacious and modern. Nice layout for people to eat. Workout room is well lit (has window). Other thing, if you were to smoke/vape/take a puff, or make stains of any kind on their linens, don't bother coming to this hotel as you will be fined hefty fees! Their housekeeping staff are super friendly but they will tell on you. Don't forget to pay them heartily in tips! Our housekeeping service requests were met at lighting speed and we were really impressed, as opposed to slow turnaround time at big wig hotels! Again, tip your housekeeping staff WELL!!!

The pool is a bit sad looking as it is visible by side street. As long as it's fenced it is okay. We didn't use the pool tho as we went to Manhattan Beach which was the closest to the hotel (6.9 miles away. Worth the view!!! Check it out. The breakfast meals were meh, but that's to be expected in standard two-and-half to three star hotels. FYI, you CANNOT bring food to your room or housekeeping staff will telltale on you and you will be fined. They do have signs posted in their breakfast rooms. For real -- it is their policy!

The breakfast was very excellent and plentiful and was consistently restocked throughout its duration (from 7am to 10am). With that in mind, their coffee machine was awesome to have as well, especially with how readily available it was. The reception was stellar and was always patient and willing to help their guests out. One of the receptionists noticed I forgot to bring my bag with me to my room, and kept it safe when I needed it; another receptionist printed me a photo of Pikachu, so an instant 4.9 star on this hotel. The cleaners were also amazing for being consistent in ensuring that the room felt new every time we returned to it after a long day, especially since my friends and I forgot to bring our towels with us, so having towels replaced every night before showering is awesome.

The shower was a bit strange, because one side of the shower has no type of cover, so water easily spilled over on that open side; additionally, the shower head aims directly down from the ceiling, meaning I have no control over the showerhead. Another dislike was that the latte machine broke down on my friends, so we returned to our room sad. Lastly, the gym was great and all, but I saw people constantly near the strength machine, so my friends and I never had the opportunity to really become powerful.

this is our second time staying here. a couple years apart. i loved that this is the only hotel to ever have 2 king sized beds plus one sofa bed in a room. rooms are clean,bed is firm just the way i like it. breakfast was pretty good lots of food choices. the hotel and rooms are nice and clean looking,new and modern interiors. feels safe. bathrooms are nice and clean with nice free toiletries. also we love the location as the next few blocks are lots of very good asian restaurants and also theres a pharmacy open 24hrs near. very good value for the money! i defenitly recommend and would stay again!

Parking lot was gated all around where it needed it. Keycard security feature was new to me, for a hotel that is, it was pretty awesome. Never experienced hotel stay with that much level of security. Breakfast was good, decent workout room. Aesthetically regarding the design and colors all around, pretty relaxing. Room wise, dining hall felt comfortable like an actual common room and lastly our room itself was worth the cost. High rise ceiling gave the room a more spacious perspective than it seemed. Felt as if we were in an apartment. Would stay again.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I enjoyed the comfortable king size beds. They were my favorite part about this stay. Not too soft and not too hard, just perfect! I liked The cleanliness, the area. Alot of stores near. & free parking! The pool was a good size. Breakfast was great, and staff was friendly. I forgot to take pictures, but the rooms look exactly like the pictures. We had the ac made some sparks, we told the staff. & right away they moved us to another room without hesitation. I didn't hear any noise coming in from other rooms. Everything was great! I will definitely be back again!

Our first room smelled alot like bleach, but it wasn't that big of a deal. The smell went away later at night.

Parking, check-in, roomy, comfortable. We flew into LA and drove here. Then we drove to Manhattan beach for dinner. To be clear we chose this place because it was well rated and more or less fit our budget (everything is expensive). We also wanted to be sure that it'd be comfortable. It was, 2 big beds. Breakfast was good too, and included, which is a significant savings. People working there were very friendly and professional.

Very spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Safe, mini-fridge, and microwave in room are always a plus. It's in a very good location if you are planning to be mostly in Gardena and areas nearby like Torrance or Redondo Beach, which was exactly my travel plans. Limited dining options around the hotel at walking distance, because it seems to be more of a business zone. As advertised, I had no problems with WiFi - good signal and pretty fast speed. For a hotel in the Best Western chain, I would say this was above average compared to others in their "Plus" level, and definitely above average against all Best Westerns and similar 2/2.5 star hotels.

Minor details in the room like the bathroom door being a bit faded / worn out. The safe is in a thin wall so it's a strange vertical layout that won't fit a laptop as you normally would (it does fit standing up). The lobby isn't particularly impressive / appealing, but it did have a few couches that I used to work a bit after I checked out. The hotel rate is just a bit high, but since the hotel is better than avg. hotels in this chain, that's a wash.

The staff where very courteous & friendly. We stayed in the King Sujte and it was very spacious & clean. Both beds (King & Pullout) where very comfortable. Breakfast was good, they had a very sufficient selection of breakfast items (Hot & Cold). Clean & the whole place smelled wonderful. Overall stay was great!! Definitely will be going back and looking forward to all other BW properties.

Very friendly staff and wonderful facilities (except the pool on the car park).

The location seemed the middle of nowhere but it was good to be out of the bustle and fairly handy to southern beaches and also downtown due to good road networks.

This property was perfect! Staff was so great from check-in to check-out. Masks are required on-site. If you get caught maskless they keep your deposit. Parking is Free which was awesome. first come first serve. It is also enclosed with lots of Active Security Cameras. There was a mini family market right across the Block that sold snacks, beer, and lottery tickets. 3 Blocks over you had a plaza on the street corner with restaurants and stores with a Burger King too.

My room was street facing and traffic would be a bit loud at times. My room also did not have an Iron just the ironing board.
