The hotel is located up one of the two main streets in Idyllwild and easily walkable to all places in town. Big terrace, library and cozy common areas with mountain view, minigolf, sauna and parking incl 1 x EV charging complimentary. Breakfast was thoughtful and good quality options of fruits, jogurth, several jelly’s and different bagels to choose from. Michelle who welcomed us was incredibly friendly and kind and stayed after hours to show us around. Rooms are beautiful, spacious, beds are comfortable, bath and showers are well equipped. Can highly recommend to stay there!

Staff was great and very polite! The cleanliness of the room was very good. I was really impressed. Large restroom, dual sinks, waterfall shower, fridge, a/c, electric fireplace, and nice size tv. Breakfast there was a pleasant time

2 concerns with the room. Secret door in the closet was puzzling. Wouldn't have bothered me if I knew about it going in. The entrance to the room had no privacy because the entry door to the room was a sliding door with lock of course. I'm not used to that kind of entry to a room. Not being negative, just informing the next person.

12/10 experience. Beyond wonderful. Magical little haven surrounded by gorgeous trees. Absolutely perfect. Walking distance to so much fun. Will never forget this weekend. Beautiful wine and chocolate strawberries set up for a pre VDAY celebration. Played games upstairs in a cozy little library looking corner. Simply divine! Can not wait to go back!

Make sure the 1st massage therapist is on call if you book one. Her name is Jill. Don’t book one otherwise !

The weekends include a hot breakfast, which was French Toast. For the price the breakfast could have been better. The weeknights the breakfast is a continental breakfast. The fruit is fresh and lots of breads and yogurt to choose from. While I thought the breakfasts were good, for the price we paid I would have expected more hot food options on all days. Otherwise, the facilities are as Grand as the name with peaceful pines all around.

The staff accommodated our plant based diet. We are flexible and did not expect a special breakfast. It was in conversation that we mentioned that we are about 95% plant based. Raven asked if we ate Just Eggs and vegan sausage. We said that we did and just like that our breakfast was plant based. Very appreciated and not expected. We liked the ambiance of the lodge.

You can tell the people who own and operate the property really care about it. The free breakfast exceeded expectations!

A little more attention to detail when cleaning the room would be beneficial. When I opened up the lodge book (the guide in the room), the previous lodger’s late check in envelope and car info fell out. I like that the bathroom trash is hidden under the sink, but the under-sink area also had hair and q-tips on the floor of it.

The location was awesome and the lodge absolutely beautiful. The host was also awesome and very nice.

We Had to go out to breakfast. Their continental breakfast started to late for us. Usually breakfast starts around 7:30am. Theirs started at 8:30am. NO coffee downstairs for guests. There is coffee in the room, unfortunately my coffee maker did not work well. Coffee came out warm. Went downstairs to see if there was coffee... No Coffee..

Everything about this place was wonderful. Check in was a breeze and loved getting a tour of the lodge. Lots of unique amenities available that made this place feel like home. The room was clean and comfortable. The gourmet breakfast was fantastic. Great portions, fresh food, and friendly staff. The location itself is very beautiful and adds a nice sense of peace and quiet, while being a short distance away from entertainment and everyday essentials.

Due to COVID, the sauna was closed. I would have loved to enjoy that, but that’s out of our control. Will have to come back and enjoy it the next time we visit.

Breakfast was great (weekday). Cold breakfast but many options for all types of diets. Fruit was organic and extremely fresh. We upgraded our room when we arrived because the first room was not to our liking. Everything else was free, including friendly advice about local trails and restaurants.

They couldn't apply our AAA discount because we booked through Booking.com and not directly through them. ): I wasn't aware this discount was an option, you should have told me.

Went the extra mile to provide a gluten free breakfast.

Day before trip Raven called and told me our teen was not really “allowed” and she needs to be quiet when here. This was not a great start when you’ve booked the most expensive villa at the property. Once we arrived everyone was wonderful but it added stress before arriving that was unnecessary. When I booked I indicated her age and there was no mention of rules.
