What a fabulous special place! My wife and I can’t stop talking about how incredible this stay was. It is like stepping back in time, this is the place to stay in Palm Springs if you are looking for peace and tranquility but also would like to walk to dinner. We would also like to say a big thank you to the manager of the property who came to check everybody was happy and comfortable, we checked in on Christmas Eve so greatly impressed with the attentiveness. We also greatly appreciated the very generous room upgrade, all in all we had the most magical start to our honeymoon. Thank you so much!

Beautiful property tucked away from the hustle & bustle of town. Great location is walkable to restaurants, coffee, the ps museum, art installations et al. Loved the room (#111), spacious with a very comfortable bed. Loved the perfectly warm pool! Grounds are impeccably clean and we loved the no kids/no pets policy (although we enjoy kids & pets) because the property was so incredibly peaceful and quiet. Also check in & check out was seamless. We'd love to stay again someday! Thank you!

We loved everything and not a big deal but : We had travel water bottles, but with the understandable no glass by the pool rule it would have been extra nice to have some plastic tumblers in the kitchenette for use by the pool. Also K cup coffee was available but no teas.

We always enjoy the peace and quiet of the Hideaway. Its accessibility to downtown Palm Springs and restaurants and shops. The onsite employees that take care of the rooms and pool area are exceptional. They asked us if we needed anything daily.

The hotel is no longer run by a single owner. You can tell that things have become rather generic, their communication with us and lack of access to the amenities of the Hideaway ( Bikes, records to play etc.)

Loved the modern mid-century decor and the property is beautifully maintained. There was always room at the pool, always peace and quiet, and on the weekends you could sit outside and listen to lots of live music from surrounding hotels. Very easy walk into town for dinner, shopping or Village Fest.

Because of Covid, things are not running like the past, such as a light breakfast in the morning or being able to use the community room, but that’s understandable and I’m sure someday will be back. It was our first time, so we had nothing to compare to and enjoyed ourselves.

What a hidden gem! We loved our stay at the hide away. Adults only, quiet pool area, comfy bed, only a handful of rooms so hardly any other guests, great downtown location, beautifully designed bedroom with everything you could need. And on top of all that mid century architecture and design felt like you’re travelling back in time (in a good way) - there was even a record player in the room! Thanks for a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to come back.

Amazing service and communication before arrival, clear check in instructions, and the management left a thoughtful gift for us on arrival as we had just flown in from Australia and were celebrating a special event that night. The property is beautiful and retro and I felt like I was on a movie set the whole time. Sunset over the mountains from the pool was a magical experience. Just a short walk around the corner to the main street for dinner and an easy exit in the morning as we headed to Joshua Tree National Park. Loved being at The Hideaway. Thank you.

Loved the 60's Mid-Century style architecture and furnishings. Loved the location.

The troubling facet is that there is nobody there in the event that something goes wrong. Management communicates by text. In another hotel with this setup, there was a mix up with our room and nobody was available to correct it. The heating unit in The Hideaway sounded like a freight train every time it kicked on. In addition, not all of the light switches worked.

The pool and hotel was perfect for a quiet hideaway. The name makes sense. I loved the setup and ease of going back and forth out of the pool and into my room if I needed to get something. I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect hotel to recover from Coachella. It was nice to be able to walk easily downtown and to the museum/ a hike. I really liked the bathroom.

The room could have been cleaner/ use an update, but I would stay here again. The rugs and couch should be replaced soonish to justify the price.

Perfect location in a very quiet neighborhood. Easy check-in, friendly staff,walk to town full of restaurants and shopping.The pool area was quiet and the view of the nearby mountain was beautiful.The room was retro and fun-we just came from a week at the Bellagio, so this was a welcome peace and quiet. The town is fun with live music and good restaurants and shopping. The surrounding mountains are just beautiful.

It’s not that we didn’t like it but just a heads up it’s really retro , not just look like retro- I loved it but some may not appreciate it.

The location is excellent. About a 3 minute walk to be right in the heart of Palm Springs dining and shopping. Located on a street that is not very busy which is great. The pool is wonderful, especially if you can snag a raft to just lay and soak up the sun while being in a refreshing and clean pool. The whole facility is so clean. We had the Desert Queen room which is small, but yet it's so efficiently laid out it was actually ok. Lots of closet/drawer space, super comfy bed, special towels for the pool, fantastic shower. Little touches, like the little charger discs, with room for 2 plugs and 2 USBs by each side of the bed make a difference. And the management was communicative and responsive.

Because there are no designated parking spots for the hotel, we did run into a problem trying to find a spot one time. However, there is a decent amount of street parking nearby so it just means maybe a bit of a walk.
