Sparrows Lodge

Loved the unique style and attention to detail around the entire property, sort of a glamorous adult summer camp vibe. We enjoyed the fire pits, the pool, the stone showers in the rooms, and the artwork/design around the property. It's clear that a lot of love and attention to detail was put into the lodge. Breakfast was yummy, staff was friendly and attentive. Appreciated that the music was chill and not too loud around the pool. Our whole stay was super relaxing -- we'll be back!

We enjoyed everything -- might be nice to have suggested quiet hours for the pool/jacuzzi, but that's it!

Our room was never cleaned during our stay, even though we hung the YES sign out daily. Also, we asked for extra towels a few times and did not receive any until the day before checking out. Also, we were told the chef was making eggs Sunday morning, but the hostess seemed to know nothing about it.

Wonderful boutique property that captures the old Palm School aesthetic. Tastefully and thoughtfully appointed throughout. Love that there are no TVs in the rooms so it is meant to be a calm place to rest and relax. Massages were a dream. Pool area is beautiful.

A couple of issues that could easily be remedied and definitely wouldn't dissuade us from staying here again. Please keep in mind that we visited during Covid staffing shortages, so the staff was super-nice and attentive, and they were working hard to keep up with guest demands. Pool and hot tub couldn't used a little scrub around the water lines. Breakfast: They never seemed to have enough food for the property and would run out of items very early. Other than that, a wonderful retreat!

Everything was exceptional — dinner, drinks, pool/spa, room, linens, etc. That being said, the best part was the staff. Shawn (the chef), Abbey, Colby and all the others on staff were so kind, attentive and genuine. I can’t remember everyone else’s names (Audrey?), but they are the biggest reason we would come back. Thank you!

I loved that my room walked out onto the pool and the private patio and yard was very cute (although it was too hot to enjoy this trip). Amazing water pressure in the shower. The lodge / cabin style theme was well done throughout the property. Staff was very friendly and there were great little perks like campfire s’mores and drinks given out pool side. Lots of little details that made the stay better. The food and drinks were also high quality and delicious.

The room was on the small side and incredibly dark. While there are windows, the shades do not provide any privacy unless completely closed (they are shutters and not traditional blinds), which you have to be mindful of due to the intimacy of the resort. Lastly, the open shower concept while novel can easily make a mess in the room. The vibe is a pro or con depending on your preference, but I found it a little too quiet / chill for my taste—but if you’re looking to relax in a tranquil environment it would be perfect.

The property is a wonderful sanctuary. We felt relaxed and enjoyed a really peaceful couple of days at the pool. The ambiance of the property is consistent as is the quality of the service and facilities.

There were a few loud drunk guests in the adjoining room. They were a bit out of control and the walls were not thick enough to dampen the sound. Under normal circumstances the walls are likely adequate.

Just oozing with charm. Such a special place. The service was wonderful. We also had a candlelit meal on the property under a citrus arbor. Fantastic. Every detail was thought of and the staff went above and beyond. Wonderful place for a romantic getaway.

Nothing. It was perfect.

We checked in to Sparrows Lodge last minute after our original "rustic, bohemian, boutique hotel" turned out to be not quite as advertised and full of giant cockroaches and annoying influencers. Sparrows was perfect! Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable (a little dark, though). We loved the giant tub and rain shower and the little private patio in the back. Breakfast was simple and perfect and the grounds of the hotel were beautiful, especially in the garden. Overall it was a great few days!

We didn't love the music that started playing at the pool at 11am. When it came on, everyone kinda looked up from their lounge chairs, rolled their eyes, smiled at each other and shrugged their shoulders. Maybe play it later in the day for a few hours, or play something that blends in with the background a little more? It may have just been that particular crowd, but it seemed like everyone was really just content to relax in peace.

Perfect relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. The integration of beautiful and aromatic plants into the architecture creates a sense of being both indoors and outdoors at the same time. The poolside vibe was quiet and gorgeous. Staff were very attentive and friendly, and they all went above and beyond to make our stay feel carefree and comfortable.

The relaxing, almost retreat atmosphere. poolside was superb, sun cream, iced water and towels. room was super with front loungers and a table to sit plus a rear private patio. staff super friendly and a great continental breakfast

nothing not to like. no TV may be an issue for some , not missed by me!
